Hi all my name is ibs and I have owned my second vr6 for 4 years now although shes been sat in a garage for the last 3 years rotting away! This was because of some idiot who crashed into me and decided to do a runner and me not having the time to get it sorted at the time. I bought her already fitted with koni coilovers and a supersprint backbox. The only thing I did was put the b5 rs4 style wheels on it which I had laying around and had the windows tinted. Here is a pic of her...3 points

Polo-Loco: Harlequin VR6 Polo Saloon Drag Project

So a bit more progress on the way to getting an MOT booked up, my wipers were shafted anyway and I wanted to go single wiper, it helps to lose a tiny bit of weight (its miniscule but every little bit all adds up in the end) and also I just happen to like them, reminds me of when I first started building Golfs in the late 90s. They do kits for the Seat Ibzia which is the same as this but I don’t have £100 to spent on one and none ever come up for sale second hand so I decided to modify the existing one. I cut, welded, bent and clearenced the mech and managed to get it to work perfectly with jus1 point -

Idle problem solved!

Got a 92 2.0 16v had trouble with running rich, erratic idle and stalling on low revs/ heavy breaking and engine running more lumpy than cold custard!! Took it to my garage today, the chap simply adjuated the fuel/air ratio with an alan key on thw meter head and the hydricarbon level went from 5500 to just a mere 120, now she runs perfect and alot more nippy!! Over the past few months I have replace the thermostat, water temp sensor, cleaned out the throttle body as well as the components on the air box and double checked for any air leaks but it seemed to be sorted by, as I said before, the m1 point -

Just placed my order to migfab to have a SRI made up with the throttle body on the opposite side so the intercooler pipework is right ready for the sidewinder manifold I'll be having made.1 point -
Next to happen was a set of bbs rxII which i snapped up on trade me for only $200 for a set of 5 and where in real good nick. wrapped them in 195/45r16 kumhos so not to put the spedo out to much but also If you fit aftermarket wheels you kave to get a cert done which is like $600!! Id noticed that on and off the power pedal there was quite a bit of slack and it almost felt like the whole engine was moving around to much so i got a new set of engine mounts from black forest industries from OZ they were the stelth ones so as not to make to much vibration felt through the car As you can see1 point
