  1. Sunday has arrived... and so did the paint and laquer for the mk2.. got it all taped up this morning and started to lay down the first coat of paint, covered all the primer patches first then moved onto putting a dusty coat across the full car for colour.. The fresh paint I put on it seemed to be so metallicy compared to the paint that was already on, maybe a different variant to what the last painter used.. I have used around 2 litres of colour and around 3 ltrs of anti scratch lacquer to get a high build on the panels so there is enough to flat down and buff up, the car isn't standing me muc

    VR sounds like subie

Check the timing on the cams it might be out by 1 tooth. When I bought my Vr the seller said it had cams fitted to it which was bullshit, I checked everything turned out to be cam timing. This is after I adjusted the cam back. http://youtu.be/sEFjBJWS2hw Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. Put a catch can on mine. Found in difficult to find a good place for it. Ended up putting it on the inner wing next to the air filter. Bit of messing about with hose reducers and 90 bends. But manage to do it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Ok so I can't work out how to embed videos in my post! Nothings amazing or exciting, just a little test clip as I want to start doing more video stuff for the project, especially when it comes to testing and racing. This is me giving it a very short drive up and down by my garages, first time its moved properly under its own steam since March, very happy to report there was no fire, no smoke and not even one melted wire (yet!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a4EhRSGOdb0

  10. While the head is off, I'd check the condition of the timing chains, tensioners & guides, although you'll only be able to check the upper chain section.. If you do decide to change out chains etc, that'll be a box off job..
