Well I had a couple of hours to tinker on the golf today so I got all of the mounts bolted down most of the plumbing and wiring done lower inlet and injectors bolted in exhaust manifolds bolted up then I remove all of the air con pipes. I used one of the hockey pucks on the front mount to raise the sump a bit then I put my upper inlet on to make sure the bonnet would close with the engine lifted a bit and I could just get a finger between them but the front end isn't on so the bonnet sat lower than normal Just need to sort out where im gonna put my oil catch can now

I asked my local vw dealer a couple of years ago for a quote on the outer sills each and they was about £140 each from memory (which isn't very good) was certainly over £100. I patched mine up with sheet as there wasn't too much needed doing but would have got pattern sills if there was a bit more needing doing. Sent from your mums iPhone using Tapatalk

Right getting in the flow with bits now, really needed to make a bit of progress and taking any chances I get to work on the Polo. I only have a half day on Fridays so make the most of the sun and got straight down there after work. Needed some pedal rubbers for the MOT as the current ones were shafted, we all know a split rubber can get you into all sorts of issues so I made sure I bought nothing but the best seconds quality non OEM ones off eBay for a couple of quid! Latest update on the car. It is still in the bodyshop nearing completion finally!! Custom front bumper DRL's being wired up at the moment. Hopefully ready for Inters I will be there on Sunday.
