Worst job on a vr
daveyboy and 2 others reacted to Grrrrallye for a topic
At the moment, stripping out the coolant hoses that have not been touched for over 20 years. Broken countless cable clips and retainers, had to strip out the air box, upper and lower inlet manifold, broken the crack pipe, ripped hands and arms to bits and swallowed about 5 pints of rusty coolant. Still should be worth it when i box them off to Forge3 points -

I didn't think heater matrix was too bad but mines a mk2 golf, maybe that makes it a bit easier? Re-fitting the drivers side wishbone after putting power flex bushes in was by far the most frustrating job for me, the locating washers and spacer tube are an absolute nightmare to fit! Well worth the effort though that said.2 points

Hi, i found that drilling the box increases intake noise, i bought a 2nd hand one and did it. i wouldn't remap until you have major work done cams, turbo etc.. and lastly see my post on terracleaning, i found it quite good. http://www.vr6oc.com/forum/topic/40991-anyone-terracleand-opinionsreviews-and-locations/good luck with whatever you do.s1 point

Private plates that mean nothing, as in you clearly cant see what it means. If the last 3 letters are your initials i dont know who you are and you cant see them in your car so who does that impress......some are good if you can see the meaning some are just gay and a waste of time Oh and all replica modified cars...."r32 lookalike" by the time youve spent the cash on doing this you should have just bought an r32!1 point -

Golf Mk3 Short Shifter
tonytyre09 reacted to besters for a topic
Just got back from Matt's place. As said he's very happy with it and it does feel good when shifting between gears albeit sat on his drive without the engine running. So I'm happy to supply these but need to modify the Corrado install guide to suit the Golf. For me to successfully supply these I do rely on standard shifters being returned to me. Thanks Dave1 point
