Hi guys I have almost finished rebuilding my engine and bought some schimmel performance 263 cams but does the car need to be remapped or can this still run ok ??

I love the rear spoiler on that. He obviously was going for a stealth bomber look or something lol

I was aiming for the sleeper look with subtle oem changes I think I achieved my goal. Also on a sidenote think I need to renew my glasses.

Had a very tidy a reg golf come into my works today for mot. Got chatting to the owner and he is a member of thenortheastvwclub. They have a meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month. Might be worth checking out get a few of the northeast vr6s there.

So I popped back to the garage to try and finish off what I had started on the exhaust. I dragged all of the components outside and noticed that there was an issue with length (not something I’m used to having!) I was scratching my head about the best way of doing it, looked at cutting and welding the cat and centre box together but knew if I cocked up the placement it would make things a lot harder to fix in place. In the end I settled for cutting down the centre box lead in pipe and slotting the cat pipe so it slid in and could be bolted. It sits at a slight angle but it’s good enough, only

Just got the 35R back from balancing @ 80.000 RPM. Maxed out @ 109.000RPM just to check if everything was ok. And it was. Turbo is in a very good shape. Gotta love the British turbo tech guy "Greg" that works for www.turbo.no. What an service and support!
