    Boot lock help

Gain access to the back of the lock that you want to make universal, ie the same one as your ignition. Put your key in the lock barrel then take the c clip off the back of the barrel push the barrel out with your key still in it. The shims are spring loaded so don't take the key out til you're on a work table. Take note of the numbers and order of each shim ie 1,7,4,5,5,3. Then reassemble the barrel and reinstall. Repeat this process for the locks that need a different key, only changing the shim numbers and order to match the combination of the first one. Then you will have all locks tha

    Oil burner

Before I start pulling my lump apart again im just wanting to get a few opinions and sound my thoughts over the last few days. This 150,000 mile 12 valve vr6 engine has seen better days, its puffing blue smoke from the exhuast. You can make it burn oil by rolling along at say 4000rpm off the throttle and let the revs slowly come down for about 8 seconds then when you gave it a foot full, there was a large cough of blue smoke. Fitted the new guides and valves and genuine stem seals genuine headgasket. Ran my new cams in and bedded my clutch in for 500miles then started to give it abit of a hoof

  8. Picked her up this morning Felt awesome driving it again, and could feel how better it felt with the new steering rack! I have to keep it below 3,500 RPM for the first 500 miles and then perform an oil / filter change, then i can take it to 3,600 up until 1,100 miles and then increase 100RPM for every 100 miles completed.... upshot is I need to cover 2.5k 125 miles down so far! looooong way to go.... Naturally the firt thing I did when I got home was to give the old girl a jolly good wash and took it for another drive, there is some power waiting to be unleashed, I can tell you that mu

    Worst job on a vr

I think possibly the worst job is selling it, I look at it every day and just know it's going to have to go, it's like I'm interviewing them to see if they will do a good enough job of continuing this cars legacy, not gonna fucking rust paint the bonnet and put a set of pink banded steels on it and a kiddies trike and miners lamp on the roof.
