I went to Normandy for a holiday a few years ago, we visited St. Mere eglise, pont du hoc, vierville, the invasion beaches and museums. I like France very much, I try to visit once a month. I would be very happy to live there! Get some more pics up of your car. [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. I converted my 2.9 to odb2 as my car is odb2 all I done was swapped the upper timing chain cover and the chain pulley off my 2.8 AAA and that was it really

    Golf VR6 Exhaust

I think the 8v's are slightly smaller in diameter, 16v and vr6 should be the same. I wouldn't recommend removing the rear silencer, mine had it removed when I got it and it was one of the first things I changed Sent from your mums iPhone using Tapatalk

    Golf VR6 Exhaust

I'm going to suggest good old eBay. Keep your eyes peeled and you'll find a used system on there. I expect it would be cheaper than buying a new back box. I think you'll find gti 8v, gti 16v and vr6 have the same exhaust, you should find one easily. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you want to learn how to hit things with a wooden club or create fire from 2 sticks, I'm your man, for all other things you're better off asking someone further up the evolutionary ladder! :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No doubt you do a great job mate with anything you get them hands on but I'm a novice and keen to learn so you can certainly show me your knowledge. I'll do the hands on practical bit. Hahahaha. I'm that impressed with your knowledge I've bigged you up with the new guy Remy. Lmao.

I'm gonna give this one a miss lads. Taking my car off the road to get a few things done. I'll still be there though but not in the VR.

  12. Is this a 12 or 24 valve? If you're doing a swap, like for like, then you'll only need the engine. If you're upgrading from a 2 litre then you better off buying a crashed donor car, then it's a matter of swapping parts to your car. For a transplant..... I'm far from an expert but I would think you'd need, engine, gearbox and driveshafts, radiator pack/slam panel, engine wiring loom, engine ecu, key and ecu, probably pedals and possibly the fuse box from the donor car. Most likely I've missed out some things, but you can see it's probably easier to buy a damaged vehicle and swap the parts ove

  13. Cheers buddy, well it my 3rd setup. One on a pervious golf, and 2 versions on my VR. Plus I've helped afew mates out it on there cars. I use bag over coilover on the front, with custom made plates. Airlift universal chapman struts on the rear, with a mk3 mount welded and strengthen on to bottom. Made them my self There is a DIY in the brakes & suspension section I wrote

No mate, we're not doing this one, what with bens domestic chores and my 7 days a week working it's not looking to good. Ben I don't think can make it and I'm rather torn..... I would like to go but I think it'll be a cross between weather and work permitting for me, I def won't be on the stand if I do go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
