Ha, co driver was sh1tting herself as usual, although afraid I think there's a speed addiction developing there. Good to see Bennyk and yourself Bealieboy. Thanks Bennyk for helping sort my flapping golf out. Had to leave the boot unlocked over night, but uncle Clifford was still working so not all bad, and crucially windows stayed UP!!.2 points

Hey Bealieboy, awesome morning, perfect meeting point the sarnies really helped me survive the day yeah the VR's in now getting a new central locking module, and a stern telling off for embarrassing me in front of those Astra owners lol. Ok so my old OBD 1 ran a stellar 187.9 hp and 187lb ft of torque I will certainly be changing some hardware (BMC CDA, HT Leads) plus others to help me beat the marker young Bealieboy has laid down.2 points

Polishing parts does take a long while, But it's worth it in the end Good tip, When finished sanding, clean it down, Then heat it with either a heat gun, or put it in front of a heater on max for 20-30 mins. So when you put the polishing compound on, it melts turning in to a liquid, this stops the rubbing marks while putting the compound on when cold, also because the metal is nice and hot it's slightly softer so easier to polish. Plus it removes all the compound, doesn't leave little stubborn spots like when it's cold. Sound like it's going to be looking very nice by next spring.1 point

I'll have to have a think nearer the time, to be honest I don't want to get rid of them but I've already been told Im not allowed the extra storage space and to get rid when I swap my interior lol Sent from your mums iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Mk2 g60 to vr6t build
c00k reacted to al_mooring for a topic
Today was productive but not chassis wise. I seem to of misplaced the steering rack clamps so I couldn't build up the subframe so I have bought some, which should be here Wednesday. So I decided to jump in and start building my engine, I flex-honed the cylinders and then fitted the crank and got round to fitting three out of six piston/rods before I called it a day1 point -
will get some more pitchers soon for you all1 point

Painted and Polished a few things.... 1st heat resistant aluminum paint afterwards light sand, more heat resistant paint, repeated for a couple of layers until nice a smooth. Then colour coat, 2K, Colour coded to same as car. The parts that were masked I had already previously polished. I also painted the large pulley at the same time Most of the parts waiting the be re-assembled Test fit.1 point

Nothing much too add, still saving up for a couple of bits but have added a couple of bits to the parts pile ready for the over haul. Did manage a few hours of sanding away at the spare rocker cover, still a long way off though but still, it's a bit of progress Sent from your mums iPhone using Tapatalk1 point
