I know mine wont be the prettiest show car or the fastest track weapon when I'm finished. But it will be the first project car that I built so I don't think I could part with something that I painted and rebuilt with my own hands.

I could of probably had one years ago but I went through a bmw phase and had a few M3's and various other beemers then one of car dealer mates took a hot chilli 5dr vr in part ex and that reminded me of the sound and it was about a year after I seen the hot chilli red 3dr I've had for 3yrs now. And I ain't going anywhere. My 5yr old daughter said it's her golf vr6 so I've set a target to try and keep it till she's old enough to drive [emoji37] . Bearing in mind I only ever used to tax a car once makes this a struggle. To be honest I think it's the only car I've ever really wanted to keep

Engine is back in the bay now. Woohoo! Took a bit of work and I am glad I had 2 extra pairs of hands helping me. I had to unbolt the turbo to make it easier as the engine was not level on the hoist. Driveshaft's are connected up. Back at it tonight to get it completed as soon as possible as I have booked myself in for a remap at Stealth on the 23rd December. Oh yea I wrapped my downpipe also...

So here is the annual club stand for ultimate dubs. This thread is to see who would like to be on our club stand. We are only allowed 5 cars on the stand so the moderators will chose the best 5. Now chaps I have done quite a bit reading on here since I first registered and learnt quite a bit regarding my latest VAG, However, I presume since my motor is 24v and red lines around 6-7k sureley it should not be running out of puff at around 4K?? It's a tricky one mate, especially when you've been married for as long as you have. I'm 28, not married, and 12 months ago split from a long term relationship. It's a 1992 (H) Mk2 VR6 2.8, running a full stainless system minus all boxes except back box, s/s headers, interior above will be fitted shortly, air filter with heat shield, lenso bsx bbs reps 7.5j fronts, 9j rears.. Engine bay is going to be stripped and tidied with battery and water bottle delete along with fresh paint.
