No, no.. it's not unfortunately. It's a (lowers voice) Ford. So I will just come along for the day to watch, and hope they can fit me in at the end if they're not all succumbed to the carbon monoxide poisoning by then2 points

This is excellent news Pete. Do you want me to get a list together of who's rolling and who's not? [emoji106] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk2 points

The date has been confirmed with Stealth for the 1st March, there is a max of 25 cars due to new rolling road software takes a little longer to setup between runs. The cost is £25 for 2 power runs, I have agreed with Vince that we can have 5 reserve cars in the event some people cannot run on the rollers or there is time at the end of the day. If your car is reasonably low you will not be able to run unless you can adjust the height, we had 3-4 cars unable to run during the last rolling road due to this reason. More information will be posted soon [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapat2 points

Hi all, Iv been a member for a while but have never really posted anything, so thought I would introduce myself and my car. Im Jake and I drive a 1989 tornado red mk2 golf vr6. Iv owned the car for 2 years now and absolutely love it, but as the new year is coming, so are a few changes, so all of your advice and opinions would be much appreciated. The cars heart is a 2.8 vr6, standard engine with stainless exhaust, engine bay is in need of some attention as it is untidy, so the plans for the new year is to take the engine out and get the bay painted as well as cleaning and touching up1 point

Afternoon all, and happy new year Insured and taxed my new 52 plate v6 4motion today. Took her out for a spin, drove beautiful for around 25 minutes, pulled well in every gear. After around half an hour I went to shift from 3rd to 2nd, and upon trying, couldn't.. I rolled to a stop, and couldn't get the car into any gear atall, eventually i shut her off and all gears were now easily accessible, I shifted to 1st and started her up then struggled home. The car is now making a ringing/rattling noise from the lower passenger side of the engine, sounds dreadful Can anyone suggest w1 point

clutch slip / judder
VR6Pete reacted to georgehull for a topic
When setting off in 1st gear im getting a juddering and there seems to be no bite to the clutch so struggling setting off need to give it loads of revs to get off the mark. I replaced front engine mount and gear box mount recently. Anyone had a similar problem or anything i could check before i order a new clutch?1 point -

Hello all, I have signed up to try and find out more about Mk3 Golfs. I have to admit that I don't have a VR6 but a 16V Anniversary instead. Time to browse the forums looking for bits and pieces to give me some ideas. I'm no stranger to VWs having owned various over the years including a Jetta GTI and also, a B3 Passat GT VR6 (LHD). Apart from the Anniversary I also have a low mileage Mk2 Golf GTI. Best Regards Simon.1 point -
Yeah, that's a wise move, I've touched both rears on mine due to a combination of tyre stretch and lack of concentration! What a piss off that was! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

It's a strange feeling to go from being a regular organiser of these days for the Corrado Forum over the last 7 or so years, down to the 'at the end of the day' guy... but understood1 point

You can get all replacement bearings, seals, and belts. You can get pulleys made, but they have to be custom CNC'ed I'm looking in to getting a higher PSI pulley made soon hopefully.1 point

big brake suggestions?
cactusjackslade reacted to IbizaPartyBoy for a topic
The Cupra R 323 Brembos fit behind TT comp 17s easily with no wheel spacers on a mk3. you can even upgrade to bigger bells n rotors if you want.. like the 330 2 piece Cupra upgrades you can get. Less weight, better performance and look slutty.. The boxster calipers are a bit wider iirc?? needing spacers on more types of wheels.. All you need to bolt the Cupra Brembos to a mk3 if some washers or spacers to pack out the carriers by 6mm.. I used 3x normal 2mm spacers per bolt either side.. Then just bend the dust guard thing behind the discs back by about 1 mm as it touches the mk4/ cupr1 point -

Stick with it Ben, they all have niggles here and there but once ironed out they are great motors. I've had 2 mk4 r32s in the past and they were both faultless. Same goes for my old faithful mk3 VR, couple of niggles here and there but 99% of the time she doesn't let me down.1 point -

Stealth Racing Turbo Kit discussion
Vag-hag reacted to cactusjackslade for a topic
Hi vag hag. Lmao Iv been glued to YouTube searching for every vrt video I could find. Nice to know Iv not been alone. I was in touch with Nick while his car was being done and followed the progress on here and the corrado fourm. Don't post much on there as mines a mk3 golf but like to see what others are upto I knew yours was going in around the same time. Vince said he was going to have two cars in for turbos. Just seen your thread on here. Very Nice looking Corrado mate. Iv read so many reviews from others on the conversion and they all say the power and performance is staggering while1 point -

Welcome to the club kingpin. It's pretty straight forward to bring pics to your account. Most use photo bucket. Download it and give it a shot. If you struggle write back here and I or someone else would be happy to assist. We look forward to seeing some pics of your motors.1 point

I recently bought a full set from roose for my Corrado. Their customer service was top, even satisfying my request for one hose to be a little longer due to me using a mk4 header at no extra cost. Very pleased! They are well made kits fitting perfectly1 point

No worries mate. Most events for 2015 haven't been organised yet so you've plenty of time to decide which shows you'd like to attend. You don't have to get your car on the rollers at the RR day pal. It's all about representing the club and having a Laff with the members. The more the merrier pal.1 point

Oh here something i forgot to mention! Since it is boosted, i highly recommend to go dual chain and sprockets if it isnt already. Many people have different opinions on this but from my experience dual chains provide a very strong base for Forced induction. You run a higher risk of chain bouncing and teeth skipping when tensioners slightly begin to fail with single chain and sprockets compared to the dual. And update your upper and lower tensioners and guides.1 point
