  2. Bring the tuneless Vr and your co-pilot, she can enjoy another riveting noisy day standing around in the cold listening to a load of twaddle from the South East section of the OC! [emoji2]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  3. Cor dear oh dear, listen to it! If I've got to borrow money to go to a club event, please shoot me! Cabbs, all jokes aside, I don't want to name names,I spent so much money on food and drink at gti fest, you would not believe. I'm thinking, if I don't roll, I'll have enough money to sustain the aforementioned nameless person this time [emoji2] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  7. I've been slacking with getting more bits done on the car recently. Been driving it daily and enjoying it very much indeed [emoji6]. Engine is run in nice and pretty much ready to be mapped. Covered nearly 1000 miles in less than a week. So time move on to the next steps now. Ordered up some brackets today which will allow me to run the Cupra R Brembo calipers up front. Does anyone know if the brake lines would be the same for a Cupra R and a VR6?

  10. I had to do something like this on my corrado. From my understanding wiring wasn't standardised back in the day on our beloved cars so this is why we commonly see this query, you will probably find that if you plugged your head unit into a new(RR) car that this issue wouldn't exist. I just got a small screw driver and was able to remove the terminal from the plug for the respective wires and swapped them around. Job done

  12. You can get Vag-com or VCD's (vag com diagnostic system) from ross-tech with a genuine cable and it will just plug in and work. But there not cheap. Google Ross-tech if interested. But there's a cheap option, but requires half decent computer knowledge. I work with computers as my trade and daily job, so it not too hard for me. Plus I can try and help. But you get a cheap OBD2 cable from eBay. Download a version vag-com, or I can send you a version of vag-com. But it will only work in demo mode because you don't have a genuine cable. This is where the computer knowledge is needed. You need

    Track day junkies

I need to get my car sorted, this is the reason I bought it over a year ago and it still hasn't really been driven hard by me yet.... I've got KWV1's and eibach roll bars to go on for handling and then cams and a remap and I'm ready to start booking places for track days!! Hopefully get to meet a few of you at them too, although my local track is Brands Hatch, happy to go wherever, as long as I can do the Ring and Spa at some point lol.

    big brake suggestions?

Cheaper and works great just like brembos, always done them on my VR6 Turbo. Standard Calipers as you all know are Girling 54s. You guys can upgrade to Girling 60s which are Dual Pistons and will stop your car dead on the spot! The Girling 60s come out of variety of early Audis such as the (90-91 Audi Quattro). They fit perfectly on the stock slotted rotors and spindles they both have the sams fitment. Save $1000s of dollars guys.
