Okay, changed this first post. Forged rods and pistons design, manufacture and sale from start to finish. Already lot's of options available for 16v/20vt etc and some variations, have a read through the post and Ill make a note, any other engine owners you know show them the post etc......so, Need about 7/8 of you buying the same part to justify it. 1. VR6 12V/24V Forged 4340 X-beam rods are now available - 45 day turnaround, custom batch order, major manufacturers - x2 - pretty much everything half decent from China/US/UK/AUS you see on the markets will likely come from these inc. Hi all, Iv been a member for a while but have never really posted anything, so thought I would introduce myself and my car. Im Jake and I drive a 1989 tornado red mk2 golf vr6. Iv owned the car for 2 years now and absolutely love it, but as the new year is coming, so are a few changes, so all of your advice and opinions would be much appreciated. The cars heart is a 2.8 vr6, standard engine with stainless exhaust, engine bay is in need of some attention as it is untidy, so the plans for the new year is to take the engine out and get the bay painted as well as cleaning and touching up1 point

As per the title. I'm looking for one of these, I'm picking up an OBD II Golf VR6 on Sunday and would like to have a Schrick to fit to it soon. I know what they go for, I've been keeping an eye on these and the VSRs since the summer (have a Corrado VR6 too). I've got the cash waiting for the right one. It has to be complete & in working order. I may consider having a VSR adapted to fit, but all costs considered a Schrick seems the best option for me. If by some stroke of luck someone has one they're willing to part with PM me.1 point

Hi all! used to be a fan of french cars, but a fair few years ago decided to go for something different and that's how I finished with a vdub :-) loved my first corrado 16v, but it was truly friday car! so when the cost of MOT was close to the value of the car had to break it. and a year later my dream come true and i have bought rado vr6 :-D1 point -
wow! that's amazing! very clean looking motor mate welcome to the club1 point

On a serious note...... All jokes aside for a minute here is the updated list of who will be rolling and who will be spectating on the day. As Pete confirmed the date will be Sunday 1st March and it all kicks off at 9am. You guys who have arranged a meet and are traveling down together do drive carefully. We want you there in one piece. A reminder, if you are rolling and your car is lowered it is advised to raise them before rolling otherwise you'll not get on the rollers. Anyway the list is as follows.......... Rolling.1 point

I was just thinking I'd like to go up north with some of you fellow VR6 owners for a meet or something but now I think I'll stay down here [emoji1]! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I'll find a space for your car on my drive Cabbs maybe even a bed! But not sure if I fancy the 200 odd mile round trip the day after, there's plenty of good pubs in walking distance from my house [emoji6][emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

Yeah that will be cool pal. Just worded the misses up mate. Told here I'm leaving her. Only for a day or so though. The smile on her face was quality. I guess she won't miss me. Hahahahah [emoji12] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point

This sounds like a plan. South mimms services! I'll probably blast down and meet you guys there aswell. Early dash for me from Manchester with no co-pilot so I'll get there quicker. Lol I'll update the list shortly so you rollers can talk some of these spectators into joining the better list. Lol I can feel it in my bones. This is gonna be a good day.1 point

Wow! This is stunning I really need a MK2 VR in my life Well done fella!1 point -
Yeah you are definitely not alone cranking up the volume and watching vrt vids!! Sad but true What you going for spec wise? I've gone fore stage one plus arp rod bolts and straight exhaust 2.5" I will have to sell the exhaust that's on there which is a shame but I'll get over it I'm sure. Now looking into LSDs as I'm sure one will be needed!! Cheers for kind words about my car, can't wait to get it back with a bit more welly behind it May just see you there when they are done buddy, cheers.1 point

So after all that fuss of wanting to sell it, today i ordered the following: KW V1 coilovers Eibach front and rear anti roll bars Raceland Exhaust Manifold Timing chains and tensioners Sachs clutch SFS Silicone hoses Oil G12++ coolant MK4 R32 head gasket Ermmmmm...... Oh and I'm waiting for someone on here to remove their 263 schimmel cams so I can purchase them. The plan is to pull the engine out, fit all the parts and replace anything that looks like it needs replacing, refit and then take it for a remap. This should be fun!!!1 point
