    1997 VW Golf VR6 mk3

So here's everything that we/Matt got done today.... Engine out: Gearbox off: Started strip down and draining oil: Ready for cams and chains to come out: Schimmel 263 cams and new chains on: The only thing I haven't done is taken a photo of the engine all put back together... Tomorrows task is putting it back in the car but unfortunately while we were putting everything back on the engine, the crack pipe decided it wanted to die, so I've just ordered a new one but won't be ready to start the car until next week [emoji17]

Have you a friend or someone who's mechanically minded etc? You could take them along to look too, they might spot something you don't.

I prefer the 5dr. Looks better in stance in my opinion. Bealieboy The cars in that video are just amazing, hopefully one day, I can look in my garage and my dream is sat there.

Personally if I was to smooth a bumper I would keep it stock and run indicators in place of fogs in the lower bumper cut out

Bit of a fan of these wide boy body kits then cabbs? The only bit of fibreglass I've ever had on one of my cars was a sapphire cossie rep rear spoiler on my 1.6i ghia Orion. :-)

And thanks for that lads. I keep my nose out of it and sit back admiring yous chat openly about "big hairy ass wide boy kits" and I still get roped in.hahahaha. It's all about personal preference I think and if you do decide to go "wide boy" Kieran I'm sure you'll make it look good. :-)

  36. Decided to fit all my red 3.5 cab switches and clocks to finish off the interior for now, I also bought a Sony Mechless stereo with AUX out and USB with matching red lit buttons, and Pioneer speakers in the front an back cards just a few bits to finish off tomorrow morning, and hopefully if the weather is alright, a few pics as well!

Oh no that's so 1990's max power magazine style [emoji37] As said for the lights from outer edge in is indicators a blanking plate then fogs.

  38. Getting it hooked up later, will report back, I suppose ABS and haldex are the controllers to look at for this case? Thats exactly what i feels like, both rears are locked together, hence why the more lock, the bigger difference between both rears speed. The old transfer box in the car was blown to bits, and I'm now worried about blowing the new one up.. With fuse 31 out the car is perfect to maneuver, feels massively less 'tight' also, but traction loss is present up to 3rd gear in the wet (as expected) Will running her with fuse 31 out completely cause any major issues? And if so

  39. I could do with a black headliner to match my colour concept pillar trims. Did you make yours Dave or get it done somewhere? Always wanted a set of genuine red black red rear lamps too
