Bit of an update with my car. It's been back in my garage since last week and i only got round to working on it today. It's all run in so the idea was to do an oil and filter change and get it booked in for mapping. Well today certainly did not turn out like that. Firstly I decided that I will run the original oil cooler with the mocal one as I am not at the moment and in order to do that I will have needed to get the front end back off. So I drained down the coolant and got the front end off.... Next I drained the old oil out. I need to get me a socket for the oil filter housing as I have no

It's a good idea to improve comfort, it just means your indicated speed will be wrong. Better to have bigger tyres than to ruin the wheels. I don't think the wheels you've chosen will rub.

If you are changing the wheels you will have to decrease the profile of the tyre for the bigger wheel. For example, standard size for a gti is 205/50/15, if you change to 16 inch, then 205/45/16 tyre and for 17 inch, 205/40/17 tyre. By decreasing the tyre profile (the middle number) it will make the same distance covered for one complete turn of the road wheel regardless of 16 or 17 inches diameter.

So today I picked up my first VR6. And that's it, just the engine Got a 12v VR6 that came from a 98 Passat with only 113k miles. Car was hit and the owner didn't feel like repairing it so they decided to part it out. I walked away with a complete VR6 engine, harness and ECU. I decided to join so I can learn as much about this engine as possible. And I thought you VR6 guys might be interested to see my plans for this engine. I'm going to swap it into a Maxda RX8, I'll make a plate to bolt it to a decent RWD trans and I'm likely going to turbo the engine. I was looking at dropping compress
