    Car Transporter in London

Hi guys, I'm moving my Golf to a new workshop next weekend (Saturday 31st Jan.) because of this I'm renting a self drive car transporter for the day. Is there anyone around the London area that needs a car or anything moving? Depending on mileage I'd only want £20-£30 to move something, not looking to make money just cover a bit of the cost of renting the transporter. The trucks got a full winch and rachet straps so no worries if theres a engine or not! Please shout up if this would be useful for anyone or people you know! Cheers, Matt

  21. St Bernards merged with St Phillip Howard in poplar and became Blessed John Roch. There was no need for two Catholic schools as the area changed soooo much...sad really. But I have good memories I think your right we must have some connection with people we know. I will tell you my family name when we meet up.

  22. You're getting bloody good at this cabbs, I'm impressed! Been doing I.T evening classes on the quiet have we?

  23. Evening Members. We still have places left for this RR day at Stealth Racing if any of you fancy it. A place on the rollers is £25 and you get 2 runs with print outs. You don't have to go on the rollers. If you just fancy a good day out and would like to support your club and get to meet club members drop me a message. This tread will be updated in the next week or two with directions and meet time. There will be convoy meets on the way which will also be updated soon. Thanks Rolling. 1. Vr6pete.

Unsure how affective it will be now. The spring that attaches it to the rear beam got a little stretched when it dropped. The joys of being on my own! Few pipes got twisted aswel. Probably needed renewed anyways:)

Little update. Got the rear beam off today. What a pig of a job!!! Bit of advice, remove ALL brake lines, clips, wires, anything holding the beam on. Didn't quite get everything split, just the small box that was on the beam, which I think it's the brake compensator?! Correct me if I'm wrong. Few pics.. Plan is to get the beam refurbished and powder coated, ready for my 256mm upgrade to go on. Hopefully soon:)

Been far too long since I've updated this. With work and not having a lock up for the car progress has been slow. Thankfully I now have a lock up so things are moving on nicely. Firstly, about 3 months ago I purchased a set of grey/black remarks in really good condition for a bargain price! I've always wanted recaros in a golf so the other interior had to go! After getting the lock up I started the strip down. Interior came out pretty quick. I then started removing all trim and bumper to inspect sills and arches. In my opinion they look really good for this age of car, minimal work will nee

  46. Hi den, I'm not too far up the rd from you. As yet I don't know of or have arranged any local meets but you'd be more than welcome to convoy up to stealth for the RR day on March 1st. There's starting to be a few of us in the area now so could be an idea to organise a meet or something!

    02M gearbox whine..

Hey guys I've not been on hear for a while.. Anyway I've rebuilt my 4mo & have been blasting around in her for a couple of months now, there's still a few things I've gotta sort out, one of the most recent things I've done is shim the gearbox input shaft to cancel out a whining noise!! This is a must do for anyone with the 02M box.. So here's a link I found on vw vortex: http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?6089802-02M-whining-decel-noises-aftermarket-clutch-disengagement-issues-mainshaft-axial-play
