Your problem is 100% caused by that vent to atmosphere BOV, what happens is that the ecu has fuel calculated for that air that you are dumping to atmosphere and not going through your engine so your engine goes pig rich when you stop after a bit of boosting and cuts out. The simple fix is just to get rid of it and run without any type of valve, but what's recommended is get a recirculating blow off valve and plumb the outlet of the BOV into the turbo inlet pipe after the Maf3 points

Also forgot to add I put my new splitter on as mine only had the gti splitter. Not too sure weather to keep it as I think it will be too low when I get my new suspension. Thinking of getting a U.S. Spec splitter as I think they are a bit shallower?3 points

Right Guys and Gals...... We need to organise a rolling road day early on in 2015. After trawling the posts it seems the best place for this is at Stealth's. It seems that there has been numerous threads to try and organise this but nothing has been set in stone and all posts have dried up. Who has organised previous RR days at Stealth's?????? Can we get something set in stone?????? January probably isn't the best time as everyone will be getting on there feet after Christmas. Stealth's probably isn't commuter friendly for some but I'm sure if I can get there from Manchester then most can do1 point

WTD: Golf mk3 drivers seat
Ickyketseddie reacted to VR6Pete for a topic
As you may be aware we are sponsoring our very own Ed from CASE Racing! And looking at ways we as a club can support our fellow racers! So to kick this off I'd like see if we can help ed by using the power of the club to get him a mk3 drivers seat, condition doesn't matter as only the frame is required to mount his light weight racing seat on. So if you can help out that would be awesome1 point -
These 12v engines are naturally quite tappy compared to the more refined 24v, made worse if you have an alloy rocker cover too.1 point

Listen him Ben with his attitude. Friends like that who needs bleeding enermies hey. [emoji13] How I didn't laugh when he phoned me I don't know. Nearly blew my cover but threw a little brain ticker in....... I said "I bet that's Ben who's done this" followed by "I didn't know you add anything for sale on eBay pal". Lmao. That had his brain ticking and he was off to interrogate you. Hahahahhahaha. Oh he soon came back once he'd done his detective work and his text started... You little f@£ker. I'll have you for this. Lmao. He knew the game was on and we was 2-2. I'll still cautious pal as I1 point

After speaking to a guy at work who's done pretty much what I'm after on his track nova, I'm pretty confident it will work. As long as I amn't carrying big loads and get it set up correctly. One question, on the obd1 master cylinder or abs module are there two outlets for rear brakes or just one? As the adjustable valves only have one inlet and one outlet so I'd possibly have to join the two lines at either side? Or block off one feed pipe at the cylinder/Abs module and have a single line in? I'd have a look but my cars down at the lock up:(1 point

Vw did two models exclusive which has everything and GL This one is the GL and those lights where an option which the first owner didn't tick the box. It has electric windows all round and electric sunroof. Central locking (which I have a lot to fit which will be remote operated) Power steer etc. I will be looking for the vr lights though. This vr passat will be my second b4 estate This red one being the current one I have but breaking it due to the engine being killed.1 point

Love these Passats, I used to have a B3 GT VR6 which is essentially the same vehicle with changed panels. Lovely roomy vehicle and i'd imagine you would have a few electric toys? Great sleeper cars as well. Did these VR6 models not have the red/smoked/red tail lights on them?1 point -
TT interior mirror do fit, I have one in mine. Mk1 TT1 point

Thanks Big J and Kieran H, its a lovely looking car but top money, and probably a little more than I would be happy to pay. And what the hell is it doing with a tow bar fitted !!! I will speak with the dealer, but will be surprised if he will deal at the figure I have in mind. Thanks once again for the tip off. Best wishes, Dave.1 point -

Tapping noise - rado vr6
VR6Pete reacted to bluemotion for a topic
sounds like somwhere from the front of the engine bay VR6Pete. it isn't defo the oil pump coze had it checked a few days aqo and had a small upgrade on the spring coze it has been loose a bit. so the choice is between an annoying sticky lifter or a rod knock (hope not!) heard somwhere that every vr6 got a tapping noise when the engine has done over 100k?1 point -
This is it,i cant wait to start it,ive just got to finish my golf then im on it! obs this is built up ,it doesn't look like this at the mo1 point

External Oil Cooler
VR6Pete reacted to Lowlifedubber for a topic
I also used the UM tube and fitted a Mocal thermostatically controlled sandwich plate to feed a 19 row Mocal oil cooler.I never even thought about the benefits of using the original cooler to heat the oil until matey at UM sais so. Looks trick and no clearance issues1 point
