  1. Some of you will know me from on here and VR60c meets years ago, some of you won't (think my original VR6oc Number was 007!) Had a lot of people ask and PM me where this cars been of late, so thought I'd add this in here. After being off the road for 5 years due to a nut coming loose from the Shrick divertor valve and going through the engine, totally destroying my low mileage mint engine I lost interest in the money pit and had other projects on the go, so the car sat in the garage for 5 years generally being in the way! So after a full Low Comp engine rebuild, Stage 2 Vortech, (The Z-Enginee

  2. So, picked up a few more bits for this, including replica ABT side skirts, stainless steel Dubpower exhaust manifold (to go with my already fitted Miltek decat and 2.5 inch Jetex exhaust system) and a pair of Hella Black rear lights STILL waiting on my new bumpers etc though also, I'm picking up a Mulberry Highline to break tomorrow, which should sort me out with the last few bits I need for the project!

    hello

Hi, just come back to the VR6 Corrado after 9 years without ( child number three scuppered it!). luckily just got hold of a mint Storm, 122k on the clock and am well pleased ( wife told me to buy whatever I want as long as she got my old car- result!) The last car was the only one I've ever had for more than two years- had it for 9, and will hopefully have this one long into retirement, and thats still 20 years away! based in Scunthorpe, so if anyone knows any good service agents/ dealers for goodies locally, let me know, cheers Ray

  12. I did use kiln dry stuff buddy, got it from BnQ. but it wasn't dry enough. It's only bone dry when it comes out of the kiln. It sweats when it bagged up. And mine was slight moist. So in the oven it went Next time I buy it I'll look for a dryest bag there. 1st time I did it before so just grabbed a bag that was on top of pile and not split open lol.

  13. hi, the Cams are top end ones, the Mani will replace some of the low torque that the cams lose. when Vince tunes it he will probably raise the limit but only to a safe setting, with 263's (new oem followers) and a schrick mine revs to about 7k (whick is still to low as i seem to get there bloody quickly!) good luck steve

  19. Save your money mate. Those in line fuel cats do nothing. You will see benefit from running some redex and basic serving as opposed to terracleaning. I'm still a bit sceptical about that as I've not seen any proven benefits. Take a look at this video

  21. To give you an idea of what it would cost as I'm doing a similar thing at the moment, head rebuild with skim, valve guides stem seals and new lifters £360. Tensioners and chains around £190, + obviously the 2.9 engine and labour to put it all together you're probably getting on for, or more than likely well over £1000. If I were confident that the engine was a good'un and all the above had been done I think I wouldn't be afraid to give £500 or maybe more for it. I know you can buy a good runner 2.8 for probably £150 of ebay or whatever, but you'd want to at least put new chains on that + whate

  22. So, I picked these up at the SWDubs Mega Meet Also I fitted my MK3.5 clocks, and got the fuel light working. Handy for a VR lol I also found enough time to split down the BBS RX2's I picked up with the rest of my Anniversary bits. They are ready to get acid dipped and polish the lips now! And whilst I was having a day messing with the VR, I mocked up my Image splits face mounted to see how they fitted and weather I liked them like that..... Really happy with the fitment, they are flush all round and face mounted they are 16x7.5 and 8.5 now just the choice o

  24. The higher the offset number the bigger the spacer you use. I think you can go up to et15 and the wheel would still sit right but you would need stretched tyres. You will have to bear in mind both rim width and offset when choosing your tyres and spacers.
