  1. Since ive mounted the Cayenne 6 pots with the 334x32 R32 discs on my VRT, which btw braking is awesome now, the stock rear brakes werent exactly pussymagnets ive bought the EPYTEC kit for the back, this kit comes complete with the hardware to mount the front 280mm vr6 discs on the new rear spindles, along with 911 (996) 4 pots brembos They also got a kit that comes with an extra adapter to fit S3/R32 calipers that youll need to use for the handbrake only Since i dont have those laying around yet, i went for the more basic kit, which means i now dont have a handbrake ( cant be bothered t

    standard condrods

/\ This is true. One of the reasons rods bend is because excessive back pressure fills a cylinder and almost 'hydro-locks' the piston....and something has to give....usually the rod. Seen plenty of S shaped ones come out of big turbo 1.8Ts that use sh1tty manifolds that don't flow enough.

    Oversized Valves?

They will....providing the overlap forced induction friendly. Schrick 268s are OK. 263s better. As for valves, I fitted a Schimmel head with +1mm oversize Inconel valves, a set of 263s and running exactly the same boost pressure (11psi, GT35R) I found an extra 50hp, so breathing mods can and do work.

  9. Hi - it doesn't quite work like that. This is what happens - my supplier forges them in-house, then sells them to big companies like Skunk2, hundreds at a time usually, who advertise them as their own rods - I can also get my own corporate logo on them etc if I want and do the same but I thought I would do it as a Group Buy to see what numbers I can drum up. As these are major forging plants you need to order at least 60+ units, sometimes 100+ in order to justify the tooling costs (same as in the UK). In order to do this I need to get the numbers to justify the costs - £9k was my last toolin

    Hello from Cheltenham

Stick with it Ben, they all have niggles here and there but once ironed out they are great motors. I've had 2 mk4 r32s in the past and they were both faultless. Same goes for my old faithful mk3 VR, couple of niggles here and there but 99% of the time she doesn't let me down.
