In answer to the question I did not take my Golf but I did get to go out as a passenger in the Yeti, it is incredible and it certainly made a few people with high spec cars feel a little inferior. Weather stayed dry and CC have resurfaced the circuit, all nasty bumps have gone, new surface has given better grip too. My Golf will be at Bedford next Saturday for HOW FAST, there is still a few places left on our session, it is reserved for just Briskoda, let me know if you fancy it.

Not really a great update but I'm currently spraying up lots of parts and also these arrived so I can finish building my engine Got a 2mm TT big valve kit, under drive pulley setup and some DRC 268 cams Also bought this so I can ditch the brake servo and clutch master cylinder

Vag-com and measuring blocks, (Not a Handel held diagnostic machine) Full vag-com or full VCD's on a laptop. Use the measuring block on every single sensor, measure them once when cool and running smoothly, and once again when hot, and running rough. Look to see any differences between the sensors results. This would be me starting place. Depending from results of the measuring blocks, Compression test when cool and when hot again. Depending on results from compression test, leak down test when cool and when hot. There are vag-com and VCD's specialist out there. Not just a VW specialis

So after fitting my be front brakes I realised 15's weren't going to clear at all so swapped the gottis for some 16" schmidts which I have now split down. Fronts were 8's and rears are 8.5's so rebuilding the 8.5's and buying 3.5" lips for the 8's. Got some gold spike bolts and flat caps coming for them too. And after a good polish up with meguiars all metal polish:
