  1. I found that when I went for lowering springs, they were fine for a year, still were great when I replaced them for coilies too. What I didn't like was paying for 2 sets of suspension to be fitted, so in that respect, think about the look you want and how your taste might evolve in the next year or so. At least with coilies fitted you can choose and adjust your ride height and you only need do the job once. Hopefully that makes sense! [emoji5]️

    remap my vr6

Get your other mods done before you remap, there's next to no gains to be had with a remap prior to modding. Having said that if your car has obd2 management, that does quite a good job of compensating for bolt on mods anyway, iceman ran 213bhp with cams, 6b, decat, and filter and his was an obd2 without remap

  9. In answer to the question I did not take my Golf but I did get to go out as a passenger in the Yeti, it is incredible and it certainly made a few people with high spec cars feel a little inferior. Weather stayed dry and CC have resurfaced the circuit, all nasty bumps have gone, new surface has given better grip too. My Golf will be at Bedford next Saturday for HOW FAST, there is still a few places left on our session, it is reserved for just Briskoda, let me know if you fancy it.

  10. Strip the block and replace internals. No point looking for a second hand lump. At least you will have a peace of mind that all will be running 100% when finished and completed.

    Engine Cleaning

Nice work Im currently stripping the ancillaries off the engine and cleaning it to paint. I will not be stripping the engine completely as that is past my knowledge and i don't want to f**k it up. I have put rags in the holes of the inlet, exhaust, oil breather and such. Will it be ok to jet wash if i don't aim at the rags. If if not any idea how i can jet wash the engine after scrubbing and degreasing?

    Engine Cleaning

Cheers for that mate. Iv got all the paint in spray cans already. High temp up to 600deg I haven't had a go at it yet. Just waiting to find someone to pressure test the block and head first. Friend of the family runs his own machine shop and engine specialist so waiting to see what he quotes. As well as calling someone local on Monday. If they throw an acid dip in then happy days, if not ill certainly get cracking. I take it there is no problem in using water within the block itself then? As it will drip dry anyway. As for gasket surfaces and holes, I have plenty of masking/duct tape so all b
