Small amount of work done but it's now sat outside so I can work on the garage, but with all that space I couldn't stop myself doing some prep ..all the subframe, wishbones, hubs are stripped ready for powdercoating, got some new bushes and ball joints ready for the rebuild.. Also with the engine stripped I started painting it..but I'm not sure on the colour now I've started, What's your thoughts..plan was to have red block and gearbox with dark burgundy pearl rocker cover ,inlet and boost pipes..2 points

has anyone used Stevens vw dismantlers near chelmsford. I am going to go there this week to try and get the replacement bits I need but can't see from their website if thats possible or if you can only order online. I prefer going in person and seeing what i am buying. Also the front bumper now has a big dent in the top black more rigid part, is it possible to heat this and try to bend it back or am i wasting my time?1 point -

Why ain't you helping the man Johnnyboy???? Den seems frustrated mate. Being leader of the pack you should be down there sorting his brakes out. You could always pop down there this afternoon as you said you weren't doing anything today after the meet.1 point

One was plenty for me Ben. Big lad nearly ate his fingers didn't he. He needs to learn some table manners. I think he was under the impression we were going to take it off him. Hahahahahahaha1 point

Vag-com and measuring blocks, (Not a Handel held diagnostic machine) Full vag-com or full VCD's on a laptop. Use the measuring block on every single sensor, measure them once when cool and running smoothly, and once again when hot, and running rough. Look to see any differences between the sensors results. This would be me starting place. Depending from results of the measuring blocks, Compression test when cool and when hot again. Depending on results from compression test, leak down test when cool and when hot. There are vag-com and VCD's specialist out there. Not just a VW specialis1 point
