Brilliant day mate, nice one. I loved this route, we were carrying some serious corner speed through some parts, I may have to take my "Bealieboy is a slow driver" slogan. maybe. I'll try and get more than 2 hours sleep before the next one.. Cheers lads
Bit of an update.. Full BDE engine 73k. VR6 base loom for MFA and got passenger airbag. Clocks and ECU VR fuel pump, all the Mk3 VR parts came from the same donor car. Heres my DBW pedal and loom from same car as engine and ECU. Needs the mount sorting for Mk3 pedal box. 2 spd fan controller to go with rad fans from Mk3 donor. Got round to cleaning up calipers for paint. Got most of the main parts now aside from fixings... Cant turn a spanner till the looms get done. Will be getting ECU sent of for immo defeat in the meantime along with new clutch and get engine
Get the boost turned up. The stock rods and Pistons are good for 100 bhp per cylinder. What compression does your spacer plate drop the compression to? If it's a 9:1 like I have in my 3.2 you may want to consider water meth when running over 1 bar to reduce the changes of det.
We had another good day out although it was wet this morning, had some breakfast to start, some B roads driving fun, washed down with a pint or two at the end! Again, it was a shame there wasn't a few more of us but maybe next time........thanks to those that travelled for this one! [emoji106]
Why ain't you helping the man Johnnyboy???? Den seems frustrated mate. Being leader of the pack you should be down there sorting his brakes out. You could always pop down there this afternoon as you said you weren't doing anything today after the meet.
D11PS to the rescue, hopefully be borrowing his belt, whilst his is off the road to iron out a few inevitable niggles on mine after doing so many bits to it in one go, without trying or testing any of it[emoji45]before my belt hopefully turns up sometime soon from the States!
Off to fetch the engine, looms, ECU, Dbw pedal today. Ive got most of the conversion parts now (he says!). Fuel pump and exhaust still need sorting. Looms wont be done till poss Sept though as the chap is busy.
