  3. Bit of an update.. Full BDE engine 73k. VR6 base loom for MFA and got passenger airbag. Clocks and ECU VR fuel pump, all the Mk3 VR parts came from the same donor car. Heres my DBW pedal and loom from same car as engine and ECU. Needs the mount sorting for Mk3 pedal box. 2 spd fan controller to go with rad fans from Mk3 donor. Got round to cleaning up calipers for paint. Got most of the main parts now aside from fixings... Cant turn a spanner till the looms get done. Will be getting ECU sent of for immo defeat in the meantime along with new clutch and get engine

  6. Been watch this thread for a while now, not sure if I've commented though. Impressed with the work you've done and the abuse you are giving it. My Bora is going in the same direction but I have an R32 lump in it now. I've just bought 2 sets of these to get my alignment perfect and provide maximum adjustability: http://www.ttforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=682849#p4485905

  8. Yeah I usually pay about £15 for half a litre of basecoat and about the same for clear and activator (1.5 litres worth)

  10. I haven't asked him to do the loom as I'd already got in touch with someone else and been through what I want. Yeah Daveyboy you'll only need 1 with mk3 ECU. Will prob go sachs too.

  13. Yeh found this place on the net "jewal paints" that does a 2k laquer that hasn't got the isocyanate in. So I can spray it at home. Smallest they do is 2.5lts £22. So plenty to go at there[emoji106]

Small amount of work done but it's now sat outside so I can work on the garage, but with all that space I couldn't stop myself doing some prep ..all the subframe, wishbones, hubs are stripped ready for powdercoating, got some new bushes and ball joints ready for the rebuild.. Also with the engine stripped I started painting it..but I'm not sure on the colour now I've started, What's your thoughts..plan was to have red block and gearbox with dark burgundy pearl rocker cover ,inlet and boost pipes..

  20. Hi guys, Just a quick update on the above topic... Finally managed to have a day off to tackle the bonnet problem and I'm ruddy ecstatic to announce that I've managed to release it... Good news is that the grill came off with no breakages at all...not so good news is the slightly large area off of the fibre glass/plastic guard thing in front of the catch mechanism which had to be cut(hacked) away(see pic).Luckily it can't be seen when the grill/badge is replaced and the bonnet closed. On further inspection I realised that it was indeed the little plastic box thing attached to the driv

  21. Front 3/4 standing shot...its raining. Coilovers and wheels fitted, still need to get tracking done and a spacer on the rear. Had dents removed, mopped and detailed, now needs a wash. And an engine change.
