I got mine from Ilexa here is a link, it does seem expensive but the support you get from Ross Tech and constant software updates make it a reasonable purchase IMO. https://www.ilexa.co.uk/diagnostic-tools/vag-com-vcds.html

  8. Sorry wrote out a massive update but only about 10% came out![emoji35] so I rewrote it but a lot shorter above! It's ok it was only about £200 remember, so we'll have to go without a sink or something[emoji23]! Oh and back on the road!

  9. In the last couple of weeks I've also added a mocal oil cooler Broke the crack pipe changing the oil cooler [emoji35] front end off and a new pipe from VW ordered as I couldn't be bothered to wait for a stainless one as I just wanted it back together by now! Though it did make fitting the oil cooler much easier, Always loved some of the old jap stuff so thought why not! [emoji6] had to get some longer hoses made up for it. Then picked up the Rotrex last night next to the VF and got it on there today and all seems pretty good at the moment............. Fingers crossed touch wood etc!

  10. So my excitement was short lived as the VF charger developed a leak from the pulley, which once the oil got up to temperature got worse[emoji24]. I'm not the most patient person in the world and really wanted the car back on the road. [emoji35]So after a chat with Dips as I knew he had a freshly rebuilt VF9 which unfortunately for me he had just sold , not all bad news though as he had a nearly new Rotrex set up [emoji3]! So determined to get the car on the road (and out of the workshop) asap I bit the bullet and bought it[emoji6]( the new bathroom will have to wait)[emoji38][emoji106]

  11. Hello I used to be an avid VR6 fan and had 3 of them, I moved on to R32's after that and still currently own one. I've been thinking about my old VR a lot recently and wondered if it's on here or if anyone knows where it is? Lee
