I've seen an ex 4mo six potted engine fitted to a beetle for sale on eBay a few months back and can't help but think the wiring would be more compatible in that set up. Nothing is impossible though I guess! I look forward to following your progress.

Hi All Im Jim I fell in love with the VR6 sound years ago when my son inlaw bought one i have now got a MK3 Golf with the lovely sound of my own However i have another motive to buying this as im going to be putting the engine and box and maybe full loom in my 1999 new Beetle I have been doing a lot of research through many forums and websites and seems the only real head ache that people have is with the wiring of the engine and getting the ECU to work in another vehicle I would be VERY gratefull if somebody could point me in the right direction as to which post would be useful to me

Though I am a nice "boss lady" I do feed and water my mechanics - pizza and beer :) lol [emoji108]

My other cover is back on - leads are a tad long as they broke some and replaced them with ones off the donor car , don't matter much arm tho as I'm getting red uprated ones soon when we fit the msd conversion [emoji108]

And while they were at it the boys fitted my new crackle black inlet :) so now she looking a lot fresher than before

Hi I've just bought my first VR6 as a "sensible" Auto while I get over a shoulder dislocation. She runs nicely and I really like her, smelt a bit hot after the run home in her ... Slightly worried! But I'm hoping that this will all be okay. Drivers window doesn't work.. Solenoid? And the battery light is on. She's had a recent alternator fitted and new belt.. Could this be causing the issue? I'm going to give the battery a trickle charge and see if that helps. Reg is P210YPM anyone on here had it before? Jay

GUYS AND GALS!!! Please everyone check your tickets for vw festival. They sent me and dave saturday tickets instead. of sunday ones. If youve got the wrong ones then you need to email paul@vwfestival.co.uk to get thwm swapped. They made me cut up my saturday tickets and email them a picture of it to prove it! Dont cut yours up unless they tell you to obviously haha!

I'm backkkk So lots has happened since February Anyway I will let the pictures do the talking lol New paint via JH pro/route 32. First wash from new paint New wheels for it. Test fit Old vs new Got bored and skinned my show plates. Bought another block. Very very high spec Did this for the mk3 Went back to standard manifold for now too See how much power I can make with it. Off for post pipes next week
