I'd just like to say a big thank you to all that attended the Leeds VW FESTIVAL. Well done guys. We couldn't of done it without you. Your cars looked amazing. Hope you all enjoyed it. Just a few shots my daughter took on the day. Feel free to add your shots. Was a great day good to meet everyone. Hopefully we can continue to show our strength like this at more shows going forward and start targeting these "Best Club Stand Awards". We most definitely had some great cars on show. Massive thumbs up to the lads who made the run from London! Well done fellas proper commitment.... Bet you beat the traffic leaving when you did..... We went to get food with the kids and where last to leave. I had 1/4 tank of fuel and by the time we got out I had to change sat nav destin2 points

Do you think you'll make it any earlier next year Halfa, possibly meeting fellow OC members en route at pre designated times and places?! Also, will you be doing another excellent invisible man impression?! [emoji23]2 points

Quite proud of this old girl after running faultlessly to Leeds and back to VW festival, there can't be many cars that can do nearly 175,000miles then can take someone bolting a supercharger to the engine! [emoji41] Now to get it booked into Stealth for a proper mapping session, can't wait! http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/08/17/0cf754e65840e703722b56d044527b70.jpg[/img1 point

Stock internals I believe are good for 500bhp but you want to be much past that. Just some info. 2.8 block is stronger than the 3.2, best to keep the bore sizes as small as you can. Stoking might work well but the engine is already under square so the stroke is longer than the bore diameter so with high rpm you could have problems with excessive piston speed and rod angle. I believe that when people build a 3.0 engine, by boring the 2.8 block and using the standard crank. Also cranks from a mk5 golf are cast and not forged if I remember correctly. I've got a build thread for approx 500bhp ju1 point
