Right guys didn't want to jinx anything because I didn't know if I was going to get it or not but, I messaged Ben (beuude) yesterday who had the blue 97 up for sale and I thought I was too late but he gave me a call this morning and I'm now back with a blue 97 vr6 lol. Engine gearbox sweet got me back to Leeds no problem 90miles journey so was a good test for speed and long runs to check any issues, but so far perfect. The work will commence as soon as I get rid of my ibiza 130pd and 3 sets of alloys as there just sat around doing nothing and not being driven. So when they go that will fund4 points -
I am only finding all the problems since I lifted the car if I put it back down maybe it will all go away lol3 points

hi guys just joined the forum, been lurking around for years but never joined as never kept a vr6 longer than 6months lol Ive been through 5 vr6's in the past 10 years but just did mostly cosmetic changes, coilovers, always had the 15" bbs alloys hated anything else, no body mods i kept it oem as possible tbh, but i always had to find a set of morette healights lol so now im hoping to finally purchase a clean vr6, body work etc not a problem once the engine and gearbox is solid im happy, as bodywork can be changed or fixed etc. so power mods would be simple at first exhaust system de ca1 point -

195/45/16 on 7.5 front and 215/40/16 on 9" rear. That'll give you some nice stretch and if you get the right offset, you'll have a nice bit of poke! Best to roll the rear arches or else you'll Defo be rubbing!1 point

I am starting to think because it had air con removed that's why the light is flashing and I found the leak so replacing with silicone is a no brainer, I am gonna take the sump off and replace the gasket, I do in a hair line crack in the floor under the driver seat so that's a welding job. Basically before I move forward anymore I need to really go over the car and address a few things.1 point

OK! So I have had a snickers now and decided I don't need to remove everything just the whole front end and the exhaust system, possibly worth taking the head off and taking a peak.1 point

Just did 140 mile round trip in mine today. It purred the whole way. Why I never bought a vr before is beyond me! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I know this isn't a VR but it's still VAG. Got rid of my wife's Volvo and surprised her with this for her Christmas box (quality bedroom points for me lol ) Sent from my LT26i using Tapatalk1 point
