  1. Been busy this last week with the car, first I got the Eurospec 280mm rear discs that were on the black VR I broke machined as they were quite badly corroded after sitting on that car going nowhere for a couple of years, luckily the car had done hardly any miles with them fitted so they had loads of meat left on them, this was before fitted the black Golf; Discs after being machined by a local machine shop; Next to the standard size disc; Removing the caliper spacer bracket from the old axle, needed a bit of heat to get them off; Old discs and heat shields removed; Then all back together; Th

  6. popped up to the car on friday removed the two brake hard lines and attached the turbo to the manifold as well as the tubo inlet facing directly towards the master cylnder the turbo also touches the servo!! so question is if i do like gaz205t suggested and lets say make a 90' bend with two t3 turbo flanges to swing the turbo up out of the way will this really hamper the flow of the manifold and affect performance? some pics of how it looks

    Hey guys

Hi guys Thought I would eventually say hi Iv'e been on here a few years now and never really got around to it. I started off with the Mk2 Golf VR6 conversion, and shortly after that I bought a Passat B3 1991 which I love to bits. Been collecting bits to do the VR6 conversion on the Passsat for some time now. So hopefully it will be done by next summer. Its getting a full engine rebuild atm the engine is the 2.9 ABV and thinking about putting the ODB2 loom into to. Here are some pics hope you like. Billy

    low temp Fan switch

I'm after a fan switch, looking at it the standard thermostat opens at 80 degrees and the standard fan switch puts 1st speed on at 95 degrees. I think its better to change the fan switch and keep the standard thermostat as it will still let the engine heat up quickly but keep things below 90 using the fans

    looking for somebadvice

Its dead easy mate, I did this a few months ago. My MK was still registered as a 1.8 but had a VR in it. Take it to a local garage and ask them to inspect the car. Then ask them to write a couple of lines on headed paper stating it has been fitted to a good standard and is safe etc.. Then stick a copy in an envelope with the V5, filled out with the engine capacity change, engine number etc, in the relevant section, then in about 4 weeks you will receive a new V5. It's that simple. Pretty sure taxation class wont change neither because of the age of the car. Good luck
