  1. Running 15psi at the moment with a GT35R turbo, so around 400bhp+ would be my guess. EDIT: Accidentally turned my best controller the wrong way and boosted to 22psi, injectors handled that fine but good god it was fast

  2. I know Dave, but the car didn't cost me anything, if it doesn't work I will scrap it and start again lol. But I'm hoping for this to work as I really like the idea of it. Colour wise I'm thinking a Matte White with gloss black roof maybe? The engine bay will be a completely different colour like a gloss blue. With the inside I will be cutting off all the bits that are not needed, like rear seat mounts etc. Then I may cage it, not really sure yet. Hoping this weekend to finish one side of the van, ready for a sheet of metal to be welded in for the rear panel. Then I can make a start on th

  4. After deciding the route I wanted to take the mk3. At first was thinking a pick up, but really needed a estate for this. Then I looked at buying a flat bed from a different car to then fit on the mk3. But decidied that was to much work. I then came up with the idea of a van, as I really like the astra vans etc.. As this was a 5 door it gave me the small front door's that I needed just needed to decide how I wanted the rear panels to look. First I was thinking of welding up the rear windows and smoothing the whole back out but 1. That's a lot of filler that could crack and 2. would look silly

  6. The time has come to part company with my Golf, quite a few of you have seen it on track, driven it or passenger in it, the car has evolved form a low mileage V6 4motion from late 2002, it is stripped out with harnesses, bucket seats, GAZ GHA coilovers, Brembo callipers, EBC grooved discs and Ferodo DS 3000 pads, in addition the car has Eibach anti roll bars, Team Dynamic Pro Race 3's in good condition, a set of team dynamic pro race 1.2's in a used condition, four brand new Federal 595 RS-r tyres ready for use, 15mm HK wheel spacers on ever corner and a MOMO steering wheel. 8. Thanks Pete, car is great but will cost me too much to get any sort of MSA log book on it, so onto pastures new to buy a log booked car. Lots of high quality bits on this Golf, I spent a to of money and it has only done a dozen trackdays if that.

  10. Depend's on the injectors too, the 630's are quite old and slow compared with modern ones, I would prefer not to use them myself. I am a bit bias though as I have spoken to 5-0 about this for a few customers wanting vrt one's then these appeared on the market! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6-1000cc-Fuel-Injectors-FLOW-MATCHED-VW-Golf-VR6-AAA-USE-E85-OXY-GAS-/261115795180 They look like they've modded/customized them the same way as the ME7 Black Ops one's we use for the mk4's, the latency times would suggest that. However you lot keep going the "money" route and go for the old 630's as them co

  11. I don't think the block is the same casting, I think it might be a touch taller and the studs are different to the 2.8 yes. If you're using the R32 crank and 81mm pistons it'll keep the walls thick and about 3 litre's but if you're going big overbore it'll be questionable as to whether it can handle the high boost you are wanting. One way to find out though! There could be an offset difference too unless that is block differences not too sure, given the price differences between the engines it's rare people will tear one down or build a hybrid for such things so never really had the chance t

    Vortech V1 questions

Sure mate. No problem at all. I don't think the shape is that important. It's the bolt holes and width / offset of pulleys in relation to the charger position [emoji106][emoji862]
