A mate of mine got a factory mk3 2.9 car years ago, last of the line model, I was adamant that it had had a conversion by a previous owner but the log book and history etc all looked legit. He ended up getting in touch with VW to find out and apparently it was only one of a few, was due to stock levels or phasing out the engine or something.1 point
