A little Update on my Front...i used to h ave the 1994-95 front end the big 3 bars. Few weeks ago i get this Early vento (as we call it on this side of the globe) rad support (2 fans) + Smoked Ecodes + OEM grille. yesterday added the VR6 badge i hope you like it.

French mk1 20vt GT3071 v's a few cars - I always like to see these things as it gives you a good perspective in terms of performance on the road with a fwd old skool motor! ch/cv is French for hp if ayone didn't know:

Fitted theses brakes kinetic discs and brembo pads allround much better than standard but my god there noisy when braking and just driving along it like the air hitting the disc is whistling of them(if that makes any sense lol) anyone else had a similar issue?? Thanks chaps

Hi, My new VR6 apparently has a front vibratechnic engine mount fitted, is there anything wrong with the standard factory mounts? I'm not a big fan of solid mounts... Thanks Adam

Guys I am a retard and I broke my hydraulic clutch line and I desperately need a replacement ASAP!!! I live in Warrington UK.

Cheers guys. It seems a lot of the previous owners never got round to doing basic maintenance on her, brake fluid was BLACK. I'm slowly getting there, Clearing a long list of faults and running issues but she is getting there.

just got a vr6 was told its a highline but its in dragon green and has full cream grey interior its a 1998 model can any one help,and was looking for my old vr6 l41vll if anyone nows if its still around many thanks

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I had two 1.9s then turned the red one into a gti6, was amazing but got written off by a skip wagon sadly. Washed, polished and waxed the golf yesterday. Comes up nicely.

Just a little update, as this being a Dad stuff seems to take a fair bit of time up! [emoji23] I'm planning to change the clutch soon, so got the gearbox I've had sitting around for ages which is fitted with a Quaiffe diff cleaned and painted up and fitted with new driveshaft and end cap seals. While I was at it I smoothed a few casting marks out as well, this was the etch primer, All done and back together; I've also reinforced a spare clutch fork I had laying about, so now I just need to get a clutch and fit it.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was looking at buying the car and wanted to get an idea on the turbo rebuild cost. Looks like someone else has bought it now. Time for me to concentrate on getting my one finished.
