  1. Good question about the heat transfer. The main middle section has a wall thickness of 1.5mm and so would not store the heat for too long once left to cool. But I don't really know, if anyone has an idea of how I could test one compared to plastic one let me know and I'll try it. Ssaunders is right about the plastic ones though, it's what got me to make the very first one. Once they're 'settled' in one position they don't like being disturbed. ky_uk, I definitely agree with you about 'some' eBay parts, especially cheap items from a large stock. I'm a one man band making these in my spare time

    Supercharged Mk3 Golf VR6

Then one day whilst browsing on Facebook this was up for sale Vortech V1. I had been thinking about it for a while, it was either that or air ride. Took the drive unto collect and bearings seemed fine so I handed over the cash and came home. started ordering parts and test fitted it in the bay. Few photos of it being fitted This is pretty much up to date. The (almost)in the title is due to a few running problems. have been speaking a lot to Pete who has been very very helpful and am trying to sort out why it wouldn't idle. I moved my MAF further away. Latest is that it will idle

    Mulberry Highline Daily.

The steering wheels was ripped at the top, the pervious owner had taped it up neatly, I removed the tape to see what was underneath. And decided it needed replacing, Went for a Polo GTi steering wheel, straight swap for mk3 one. Re-dyed the top of the handbrake gator, as this was a starting to wear. Removed the spare wheel and cleaned inside the boot, Also cleaned all the boot carpets and rear carpet on seats, same as the interior carpet. Much more to come soon....

    New VR6 new hope!

Yeah stock crank can handle plenty if done properly, you're doing the right thing in getting it all properly checked before it's rebuilt, oem material always seem to have budgetary constraints, but places/people like x-parts/donkey tec/turbo impression show you what can be done. Aftermarket engineering can get complex if you want to get technical, there's loads of funky new alloys about too nowadays and various things to consider really, was looking at an interesting report a couple of years ago regarding some new alu alloy for pistons and it was interesting that the 2618 pistons, the forged
