  1. Hi people, time to sell some of my hoard. I've got a brand new genuine vw drivers wing in its wrapper and a very good, rust free genuine passenger wing up for grabs. These are surely almost gold dust items these days, I'm not sure you can even buy new genuine wings still? Anyway, these both have oval indicator holes and I'm looking for £220 or near offer. I'm willing to meet the buyer to a radius of 40 miles from stanstead airport as these will not be getting in the back of a courier van!!! Also for sale on a well known auction site!

    My Mk2 VR6

Fitted a mk4 expansion tank, really does make a difference loosk wise! Not realising the coolant plug was different to the mk3 one [emoji19] i managed to cut one off a mk4 at the scrappy, just need to solder it onto the mk3 wiring. Happy days Got the radiator in too and slam panel on just to check any clearance issues. Everything sat nicely so issues there! Next update will probably be after the new year now. Where ill have more money and more time! Have a good ones guys [emoji106]

Went through a few water and air temp sensor's, testing them for resistance and to see if they were the right thing for my ecu's configuration. In the end i got one's that were close enough. Thank's to Chaffe for letting me into his drawer's. Machined an adaptor to fit my coolant temp sensor for the M-tech v4 ecu in place of the second stage rad fan sensor in the water housing.

Next thing to tackle was the engine management wiring. Done a bit of homework and had some advise from a couple mate's on the subject, so got to work. Pulled out the soldering iron, multimeter and wanktop. There was a big use of spade terminal's till I knew it was right begore permanently soldering anything in.

Next on the list was to make an adapter bracket to hold the ford coil pack that im going to use. Unfortunately the pitch between hole center's are not the same.

Was going to buy a trigger wheel but decided I would use what i have. So i removed my crankshaft pulley and through her into the manual mill and made my own 36-1 trigger wheel. Got on with Mounting my VR sensor while I was down there. This picture doesn't actually show the end product ☺ had to do a little fabrication to get the sensor to sit at the right position (tooth) at TDC.

Ground out the cracks with the angle grinder and welded them up. I'll get them refurbed soon or wait till the warmer weather and paint them myself. In the meantime, ive got a shot of one of my mates wheels.

Time for another update. It's unbelievable how fast time goes past. I've been working on the car on week night's, once the little one's in bed. The exhaust system is completed and fitted to the car. Heat wrapped the downpipe down to the flexi.
