Hey there, new to the forum and figured I'd stop in and say hello. Here's my never ending project. A 1993 Corrado SLC. I love this car but it sure is costing me a ton of money lately! New engine build in progress, going turbo!3 points

Check out my build thread on here. Mine is the 24v engine with a GT3582r .82 and I'm at full boost by 3k rpm and seems to not run out of puff at redline. This was low'ish boost around 12-13 psi3 points

Alright guys Its been ages since i last updated this thread. Well what can I say, things didn't go too well after the last engine build I managed to complete 1200 run-in miles and then took it to stealth for some mapping where it decided to give up on me, on the rollers!!! After a little bit of an investigation it was found that I had spun another big end bearing, due to not cleaning out the pressure relief valve on the oil pump. I wasn't happy to say the least!!! Well that was that for nearly a year. Work commitments and other things left me with very little time to work on the car3 points

[SOLD] SCHRICK Inlet manifold and all ancillaries for VR6 Engine.
VR6Pete and one other reacted to six appeal for a topic
As per title.... SCHRICK Inlet manifold and all ancillaries for VR6 Engine. Selling my spare fully refurbed Schrick Manifold for a VR6 engine. Has been aqua blasted and all bolts re-newed, so literally needs fitting as looks better than new! Was for my Supercharged Mk2 VR but going another route with that now so is surplus to my needs. Currently has an OBD1 throttle body adapter fitted, but OBD2 adapters still readily available both new and second hand. Came off a Stealth tuned VR6 Corrado but will fit all VR6 engines. This is the one for sale: This2 points -

Mk3 golf short shifter diy

Thanks mate all done now lol I just went for it and I just put a damp cloth underneath so when the filings fell it didn't blow away just soaked into the cloth, so removal Was easy. I ended up cutting 2 inches exact off as read on few other forums and it's perfect because the aftermarket gear knob sits 1 inch over the existing lentght, so a total of 3 inch drop in height. Havnt ant driven it yet but does look and feel nice and it feels a hell of a lot shorter and the throw matched with the short shifter is now a lot shorter and feels excellent. Just need t2 points -
Did a small reinforcement on a spare sump I had, only over section near the drain plug, that commonly scrapes on these. Put a few holes in the plate, to help release water and moister. As it not full seemed along the edges. Then painted it in some of the special paint I had left over from the black VR's lower arms, subframe, crossmember, etc. (The paints meant for oil rigs that get built in the sea) Ready to go on spare engine before it gets fitted. Set of cheap silicone hoses. Fitted the TT pedals, Side windows and sunro2 points

Having some problems with my vr over the past few months, Started by once not starting, just cranking over, never done that in the 3 years i've had it, always started 1st turn of the key. Then it started no problem, A few weeks later, started 1st time moved off the drive and parked up, switched off, went inside for a bit came back out then nothing, just cranking and cranking, ( cant hear fuel pump running). Left it for a few hours then started 1st try again! Once running no problems, full power, no mis fires etc. Now last week on my way to work i was stuck in traffic a1 point

Cheers man, I'm afraid it's not for sale! I got in a panic as I needed my lock up for my 2016 showcar but fortunately my mate found out I was selling so is letting me store it in his Bodyshop! I would have been ill if it sold for the asking price1 point -

Rich, you know that I'm buying your car, once I've won the lottery! come on fella, stop offering it to other people! [emoji23]1 point -
17x8 are ok as long as you dont go lower than et30. I used to run 215/40/17 with mild arch rolling on back just to push the lip up.1 point

Looks like you have had a difficult time with it. I think the fact you have stuck with it is a real testament to your commitment. Hope things start to go better for you.1 point

Hi mate. I Can't give you an answer about your brakes but I'm running 17x8.5 on the back of my mk3 and running pretty low and I don't have any issues1 point
-
I am tempted by gloss black. As theyre only 312 brakes so nothing really special like porsche brakes which I would want to show off. I think the discs pretty much filling the wheels is enough.1 point

Can you send me the contact details for the owner. Thanks1 point

Hello all I thought I would do a bit of an update. As you may know I have been away on work but I managed to get home for a couple of days. Although I didn't actually get a chance to do any work on the car I did manage to get some pictures of the progress you haven't seen. First I will start with a few pics of some of the parts I have ordered for the motor. here are a few service parts and a few goodies too. I actually got that bores at work 1 night that I priced up how much everything had cost me for this build on an excel spreadsheet, lol. The answer definitely gave me a bit of a shock :/ a1 point
