As always your advice is much welcome, I am probably better off with on big turbo then and I was planning on using a 02M gearbox first I need to get rid of some parts I've got to much lying around.1 point

Don't twin turbo it. Not in my opinion anyway. It can be done, but it's more meant for V6 and V8's with twin cylinder heads and 45 degree Pistons. So many issues with balancing turbos and getting them set up identical as they run in to the same cylinder head on VR's and any engine with single cylinder head. Turbo and supercharged now that's different story this can be done, but you need to select both chargers very carefully for it to work well. As lots of people are mislead when it comes to superchargers... the different types of supercharger. And how the different t1 point

I know the cable ties are terrible! I've finally got myself a garage and 4 stands so tomorrow I am taking everything out and lifting it of the ground so I can seriously attack it and remove the subframe all the running gear, i am even taking the wings off and treating underneath the car also going to spray the engine bay, I have finally come to the conclusion that I am going to drive the car on the road and track I want it to be perfect so I am not rushing anymore and I have now stopped dreaming and I am settling with the idea of 3.0VR6T or in the future Twins, my goal is now to replace as mu1 point

While the engine is out, drain the power steering, and chop the bend off the end off the power steering cooling pipe (pipe that runs in front of crossmember). It will make the pipe that goes to the power steering tank sit a lot better. And you can use the standard mounting point instead of cable ties. I did it on my black one. Get there buddy, keep it up man!1 point

My car is 100% a street car, and I have only really had turbo diesels so I wanted a suitable amount of low end power and for the boost to come in at a reasonable RPM so you don't have to spend all the time in the high RPM's. Like RBPE said I have the 02m 4wd trans with a 4 paddle clutch so I don't have any worries about breaking it any time soon. My build was for a reliable 400-500bhp, for use as a daily driver. I've turned the boost up to approx 18psi but totally forgot about my plastic intake manifold, might have to turn it down before it cracks/blows I have a feeling tha1 point

0.63 too small, some prefer the 1.06 but it's more up top - 0.82ar by far the most popular as it mixes low and top end for road use. You can play with it in the tune also, VVT can have a profound difference on spool as too cams etc If you're on the O2A box and FWD then it's where your tyres start to grip that'll shred your box so 4th or 5th gear most likely as it grips. 02M boxes are more durable, you can get FWD conversion kits, Gearbox Doctor can do supports for two of the shafts to strenghten the box, cryo freezing, HD shafts etc - lot's can be done to strengthen the drivetrain but it1 point

Agree with Pete. Is it obd1 or 2? If it's for simple things like clearing some codes you can get a cheap reader from eBay. I got one for like £20 and its great to get rid of abs/SRS/eml lights if I ever get one:)1 point
