    Hello all!

    Hello everyone, im glad to have joines the vr6oc and im looking forward to receiving all my paperwork. Come this summer i will be starting a long process build on my Mk4 12v VR. Its going to be mostly a huge refresh at first, but Im going to work on the head a bit, then the block and various other parts as time goes by. So that being said im always open to recommendations or tips!

  5. Looks awesome on air, every time I see a mk3 on air I want it but I should probably just buy some decent coilovers and save a few £ as I'd want an airlift kit

  10. No there slightly bigger, but neither are huge. This is one of mine, It's 1/4" NPT version, so smallest they make. you can also get bigger 3/8". yes I run a water trap, plus I have an electric drain valve on the tanks, so I just press a button on the dash, and it dumps any water from the tanks out under the rear floor. I'd recommend a manual drain vale on the tank as a minimum, or make an electric one your self isn't to hard, I made mine easily. There's no off the shelf kits for an electric one. Reason I went for an electric one, was to save lifting u

  12. They are very much undersquare engines, you see all 800hp+ one's all still make peak power at less than 7k rpm, more speed/gearing based for high rpm limit's, love boost though it seems with minor mods - somethng I try and tell those doing lot's of head mods due to cost of doing them! This is it drag racing;

    Best turbo for 24v vr6

    Quite a low hp goal compared with most requests I get, 450's usually the norm! GT35R is always the most popular but maybe a bit too big although boost can dictate spool as well as tune. The GT3071RWG would be one but is a bit small for the VR6 and the 3076's are an option too but similar to the 35r in terms of spool. Main thing is turbine, T3 is what you want with low boost set up, 0.63 has good spool but a bit wheezy up top for a VR, 0.82 better but again 3076/3582 similar and a bit more laggier than 0.63, prob 2-300rpm's if that at low boost. Save a GT3076RWG I would look at the E

    Hello all!

    Well as it is I got a refresh kit for the block, arp hardware, new piston rings, but the crank, rods, and pistons will remain stock, unless when I get in there I notice a problem. I plan to get new rods and pistons in 2ish years when I go to boost it. Just because the stock block is so strong im just gonna leave it as is. Its a 240k mile engine, so its getting a whole lot of new outside the engine too, including a rolling chassis the engine will be going in, my current body is falling to bits. Have a recommendation for when I get to that step?

  20. Sorry about the bad sound but we forgot to shut the windows !! Great day at Brands in the VR6. The old girl was holding her own again, only Atoms-Radicals -Caterhams-M3's passing her.(Maybe some others! lol) Video is best from about half way through when the semi slicks warm up along with the Brakes! VR6 sound track is just Loooovely! My son also had a Hot Lap with Tom Chiltern (Touring car champion) in his 670BHP Nissan GTR. Very skillful driver, he makes it look so damn easy. I will download his lap when I get a mo. Dave. (Cosie)
