Am thinking about it - illness has meant I can't open a ketchup bottle at the moment let alone pimp slap a 22mm bolt off so looking into home work at the mo and the foreseeable future! I have brown hair, brown eyes, 36 years old, I LOVE to go out dancing..... and when I say go out dancing I mean drink heavily and watch the footy and rugby whilst desperately trying to hold on to my youth and typing up some random non-sense to people I have never met over the t'interweb for their amusement, whilst actually being glad I don't have to go home to look after the kids - like some of my former pu3 points

Hi VR6 Owners Looking for some advice I have a P Plate golf VR6 and I have just experienced problems with what I believe to be a Conlog full closure alarm system. I currently have no ignition and cannot start the car. The alarm is armed but I cannot disarm. The red light on the fob is flashing which does not seem to be talking to the car. I have opened the doors with the key and the alarm sounds for 30 seconds then the indicators flash. I cannot get the ignition lights to work on the key. There is a pod in the glovebox with 3 prongs I have put the fob in there it lights the LED on the fob but1 point

I run 195/40/17 on my 7.5×17 and 205/40/17 on the 8.5×17 and they've got a nice amount of stretch on both not too much tho1 point

215 is the minimum recommended width for a 8j rim and worked really well for me. 205 would physically fit and would give that show car stretched look. Performance would obviously be compromised slightly but really it's all down to taste.1 point

Test fit went well, just need to order some spacers, longer bolts and brake line adaptors1 point -
That probably added 2 days to building that door card, fitting electric windows would have taken about 2 hours!! [emoji23] [emoji85]1 point

OEM for the win, £0! OBD1 you can do easy enough if you know what you're doing but most tuners won't. The fact is it s easier to change to OBD2 for FI as it is more common and most rare tunes on these are 2. There are only a hand full of tuners that can cross flash some maps, define from scratch the OBD1-2 map/function differences then add the boost controls all on your oem ecu but it's certainly possible! That's just defining your ecu though so you have complete control, on top of that you'd have to set it up to your parts used too - the tune itself - so it all adds up, cost w1 point

The two things sound unrelated , but if they do need replacing these are genuine lifters for the 12v vr6 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Genuine-INA-VW-Golf-MK3-2-8-VR6-Hydraulic-Tappet-Lifter-Set-034109309AD-/262002716311?hash=item3d00942e97:g:LdUAAOSwjVVVy6Fp1 point
