Called the Genovation eXtreme Electric (GXE), the all-electric Corvette on February 23, 2016 at NASA’s Shuttle Landing Facility at the Kennedy Space Centre in Cape Canaveral, Florida broke the speed record registering a 186.8 mph (300 km/h). The record-setting run was confirmed and certified by the International Mile Racing Association (IMRA), beating the previous record of 177 mph (284 km/h).
