  1. Ok so firstly I apologize for the lengthy post! But I've been putting this off for a fair while so It's going to be a big chunk in one hit and then hopefully keep it up to date! So 5 years ago I had my first VR6, a White Golf Mk3 that I owned for nearly a year and showed with the VR6oc in 2011 Then the next car I had was a Nugget yellow Corrado 16v KR, I literally adored it, however I always wished it had the heart of the Golf... Fast forward to 2013 and I found myself owning another Mk3 that I converted to a VR from an 8v Gti, again I loved it but when the Head gas

Thanks. I'm from gosforth. The car only comes out maybe once every few weeks. It's a day off car, or it goes to the odd meet. Before I stopped using it every day you may have seen it in Kingston park as that's where I work. I did a lot of work to the underside before edition last summer and stopped using it after that. Doing a vr6 swop has been on my mind, but I really want a 3dr shell. My gti requires a fair bit of cosmetic stuff, front wings, rear arch repairs etc etc, usual car park dents. I could put that towards another car. My thinking is mk3 prices will soar soon, good ones are ge

    Turbo Build

Hi, got my 02M install booked in at the Phirm for next year. slightly different as mine is 4x4. imho - i wouldnt waste the money strengthening the 02A not if your going 02M, 02A - LSD £650+, BOLT kit for diff £80, new bearings £100, plus the cost of the cryo and labour and good clutch 350+ build it, run low boost then convert to 02M after running it in. 02M swap needs the gearbox mount cut from subframe and moved. here is a good link - http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?2633108-quot-02m-o2m-6-speed-into-mk3-12v-VR6-(Pictures-Fixed) good luck s

    Poly Bushing!!!

As above, I was dubious about that amount of money on some pretty coloured poly/rubber under my car that I wont even see.. Now I wont be without them. Make a huge difference and give the old VRs a new car feel with tightness on the road. Same with engine mounts, vibratech ones compared to standard is just ridiculous.. but all worth it for a keeper car..
