Well... So I'm a little further forward with these.. Had a spare half an hour and thought I would go out in the shed and see if I could work it out! Guess what I did!! Chuffed with them how they are now.. Stripped down, re painted, new seals and new Pistons along with new bleed nipples.. Just gonna clean up my discs and use the original pads on the front as they were pretty much new anyway and then replace the rears for new.. The sake of £25 I've got 4 completely refurbished calipers happy days2 points

Hi guys, Just signed up after a contact here in Ireland recommended me to try the site. I don't have a V6 but I have a barely used Non resonated Milltek that came off a Golf 4 Motion that might be of interest to someone on here - the previous owner bought it new a year ago and claims it has covered less than 1500 miles. Seems to be in great condition, some photos can be found here: https://www.donedeal.ie/carparts-for-sale/2-75-quot-milltek-non-resonated-cat-back-exhaust/12123880 It is located in Dublin however, so I am looking for €250/£200 collected -1 point

Hi Ladies/Gents I'm new to this forum but certainly not new to the VR6 scene... Its been almost 7 years since i had my last MK3 VR6 and i missed it so much that i had to acquire another one so i recently got a 1994 Jetta MK3 VR6 (my 3rd VR6) which is a bit rough around the edges but I'm busy restoring it back to its former glory... The vehicle runs and drives fine but just needs some basic TLC (Brakes/Suspension bushes/Interior Electronics etc...) Been out of the VR6 game for so long but I'm pretty sure I can find all help/advice and resources i need on this forum... So thanks i1 point

Spot on, look out for the green goddess or the blue meanie at the rr day or I'll most likely be stood heckling Cabbs!!1 point
-
Yeah mate, I had them on my mk2 and I really did like them, genuine bbs are hideous amounts of money and at the moment I just don't have them funds.. To be honest there are others I quite like.. Here are a few that are ticking the boxes for me1 point
-
Is that what you're after then jaks, bbs reps?1 point
-
Appreciate that input bud, I'm running on coilovers when I finally get them fitted!! So I should be able to adjust them so they don't rub.. I'm just gonna go 8.5j all round and with any luck I shouldn't get any issues.. I was talking to daveyboy and he says with them type of bbs reps he had to put spacers on the fronts to clear the calipers so that looks like I'm gonna have to buy some maybe 15mm..1 point

Great idea. I can pay you in the queens beer vouchers. [emoji1362]1 point

And how will sir be paying? Could bring to rr day on 22nd?1 point

I used to run 16" bbs reps, 7.5 front, et15 and 9.5 rear et25. The rears rubbed a fair bit just on eibach lowered springs. Now I run 17" 9.5 front et? And 10.5 rear et? Now I'm on dampening adjustable coilovers and occasionally the rears rub.1 point

I think the pump primes on ignition and then runs when the engine draws fuel? Not sure exactly on that, but defo primes.1 point

To be honest mate I was wanting to run 8.5j all round... Is the higher the et better? Or lower the number better? It boggles my mind et like.. Ha! What size wheels etc are you running on the mk3 mate?1 point

The fuel pump is in tank, you need to remove the tank to get to the pump, check the fuel pump relay first, in the fuse box under the dash on the drivers side. I can't remember the relay number but it's worth starting with the easy stuff first. [emoji1360]1 point

Got some more work done on the van all the intercooler pipes were welded up then powder coated in wrinkle black and painted the intercooler at work. Back on. Then refitted all the pipes looks a lot better in black and with out the hose connectors. Before. After. also managed to make my screamer pipe turned out pretty good. Got the front end built back up. So even tho it wasn't mapped and it only had the down pipe on we decided to try and start it more so to make sure the engines turned over properly and we had spark and fuel. All I can say it defently needs mapping.still got a water line1 point -
