  1. Good Morning Everyone, I'm a new member on vr6oc and I own a mk5 golf r32. I'm also a member of the R32 Owners Club and I'm in charge of arranging a monthly local meet (details below) but being a big VW fan especially the big engined variety I joined here to hopefully find some vr6 owners to come join us. Being the the vr6 is the daddy of the R32's We have some great cars/owners turn up and it's a nice chilled atmosphere, we park up and admire and talk about cars all night mainly. If you are not too far away and fancy a doughnut, coffee and a chat about cars please feel free t

  3. All those makes are fine, it's what you want from them. 263's are good especially with FI. 267's work higher in the rev range and work well with a schrick mani and its normal I believe to uprate the retainers to allow higher revving.

  5. So went to have a little play at my garage this afternoon. Car in the air test fit brakes. Looking good While she was in the air I was giving her a look over and started peeling the under seal away which led to this! So looks like a rep are is in order. Just glad I started prying as it was not noticeable. Glad it's been caught. This is what happens when they sit unused. When is the first show again [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] this could turn into a lengthy strip down lol

  9. No real gains will be made without 'fiddling' with the ecu. The best value for money is in a C2/UM chip tune, fueling kit and a cheap turbo conversion. It can be done all in for £1000 - £2500 and returns will be around 300 - 400bhp and many smiles per miles. N/A tuning is money down the drain on a VR6 as the return on investment is simply does not add up.

  10. how much are you spending? its all about money. cheap Audi 1.8T Air intake temp sensor (standard is in block and gets heat soaked) rewire to cooler area maybe inside airbox? airbox mod - drill huge holes or cut the bottom of the air box out DIY port head and throttle body panel filter medium 250-1000 install new cams 263's 267's etc ported and big valve head 3.67 final drive (no power but better gearing, would look to do diesel 5th gear for better cruising) also if gearbox is off lightweight flywheel and chains 2nd hand charger? n

  11. Not been much to report lately. Got my oil feed and drain lines sorted. Had all my engine bits back from the powder coaters so I can start putting everything back together! Had my Brembo calipers done at the same time. I got a quote to have them refurbished by a well known caliper company and they quoted £250 to do the calipers. Extra if they had to replace seals etc.... I bought a new seal & bolt kit for £59 delivered. Came with lines, bleed nipples, Caps, bolts, seals & dust boots. The powder coaters charged me £20 a side to blast and coat them. Decals where £10 for 4 Hi
