  1. I have up for sale my 2003 VW Golf 2.8 V6 4Motion. I've owned this car since January 2016 with the plan of using it for a year or so and then keeping it garaged/stored as a potential future classic. Unfortunately I've recently been made redundant so these plans have now gone out the window!! I now need a cheap economical car to get me to and from my next work place. I'm currently going round cleaning up the brakes, inside the alloy wheels and painting the calipers black. I've only done the front drivers side one so far but will continue to work round the others. Just wanted

  3. I will be looking at cooling and meth going forward, will start off with a radiator fan switch to get fans kicking in earlier. Temperatures on the rollers were ok! coolant temp = 100degrees, and oil was 112 which is normal for my car. Will look into oil cooler further down the line - what have you got? Ideally want it out of view and a factory looking setup. I don't drive it to death so I will be ok - good feedback nether the less on the plugs I've got schimmels, 6 branch, decat and stainless exhaust, that's pretty much it to be honest With the 380cc inject

  5. Well the chaps finished the floor today. From these scary things. To this welded sealed and painted. In car shot. Underneath Then finished off with some sound deadening. I can now put some damp core in then refit my professionally cleaned carpets and start rebuilding this wench! Brake pad fitting kit for Leon Cupra R brembos. £160 a pair on mainland UK. Or £100 a pair from Seat Belfast. Managed to find a used set on the rear of a maserati coupe. They run the same calipers on rear!! Price for a couple of springs though is shocking!! Anyhow loads more to do before

  6. There the same spark plugs I run vince recommend same one for my charger setup. They do make the engine run hotter than NGK's, why I have and external oil cooler, with a thermostat, so it can never over cool the oil. Plus an alloy oversized and uprated rad, low temp thermostat, and low temp fan switch. But with your engine being almost brand new condition, I'd run an external oil cooler, with a thermostat. Plus a low temp coolant thermostat. Sound like you made some good figures. What at has been done altogether? I known a brand new 2.9 long s

  7. I went to Stealth yesterday, feeling quite apprehensive! I am the 3rd car that has used their new strapping system, so they can run higher power cars without needing to use glue all of the time, and all went well. Be interesting to see how John Maliks 800BHP + corrado gets on when its back on the rollers Anyway, back my car...early on the mapping session it appeared to have a misfire after 5,000 RPM which put a stop on the session, ended up being spark plugs as engine has been overfueling and plugs were pretty shot ! Vince has recommended FR7KPP33+ - so we could continu

  9. Wow haven't updated this in a while. Not much has happened in the last 6 months although ssautowerks have made a really nice job of the cage and got my CAE shifter base plate seam welded in. Also had a quick mock up with the six speed box and turbo ready for the manifold to be fabricated Also having them fabricate a tubular front end so we can maximise the size of the intercooler and radiator and also been able to ditch the horrible plastic front panel.
