    Supercharged or turbo

The stock internals a re good for 350. A lot more work involved in turbo. Stealth do a drive in drive out conversion. It ain't cheap though.

  4. Bennyk the chap posting above has a great build diary. 96 VR first project build thread. I think it's called. He runs a schrick and a supercharger. This is his bay notice the manifold. [emoji106]?

  5. Got my carpets back in today. Like new to say the least. Really happy with how they turned out. Popped door are and seats back in. Took her for a test drives and things seem to be good. Just need to pop a splitter on her and take it for MOT all being well. New tires are wider and do rub slightly on the front so will need to raise her a little. [emoji30]. Needs must!

  6. I bought this car last year in with the intention of super charging it, due to other commitments and work I no longer have the time for it. The car is in use every weekend so milage may increase a little. It was originally an Auto and was converted professionally by the previous owner. Gear box is smooth and is perfect no issues what so ever. The gearbox was removed from a donor vehicle that covered 100k miles. Auxiliary belt has been changed old one is in the boot. In the process of having the manual conversion the clutch was also replaced with a brand new one. I have no proof of thi

    Supercharged or turbo

Forced induction is anything that forces air into the engine. Turbo or supercharger. Naturally aspirated is the opposite where the engine breaths only what it pulls in naturally. This relates to all engines. Not just vag. The guy I bought my VR of replaced it with a Cupra R. He was soon calling to buy the VR back. I am on my 7th VR mate and I have slid them and bought more powerful faster cars. From big power 1.8t mk4s to 400bhp Supercharged Jags. I always end up buying another VR. I love this 12v engine. From the way it sounds to the way it pulls. Even if I get smoked by a modern diese

  13. Cool mate. You can't miss this one pal. Your part of the woodwork. Hahahahaha. Let me know how your getting on dude. Come on people. Loads of places available for this. We need more cars on the stand. This shows is one of the best so we need to set some standards and get the stand filled. [emoji106][emoji106]

  15. I would do injectors before pump. Get a 4 bar fuel regulator. If you are going to do cams. Do them before the map. The remap should be your final step. Do not buy a TDI [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]. VRs fuck the world. Forced induction VRs fuck everything hahahaha

  17. As has just been said, it is all down to personal preference if truth bekown. I have a supercharged VR and the wife has a turbo charged VR. Mine is my every day runner/driver so I like the fact that it's nice and smooth to drive, but if need be I can still put my foot down and give it large. Now all depending on what you want out of the car/use it for will help you decide if you do more research (again as has been said) as with a super charger when it's installed the power you get is pretty much all you will ever get really, where on the other hand with a turbo charger, well power wi

  18. I did something against my religion this week and paid someone else to do something on the VR[emoji15][emoji23], I had the gear and my US hand brake gaiter's re-trimmed in alcantara to match the seat centre's[emoji4]. I was looking at changing the gear gaiter and knob but I really like the oe full leather ones and I'm really pleased with the outcome, the only problem is that I'm now looking at other parts of the interior wondering what else I could get done![emoji85]

  19. Made mini looms for injectors and COP's Made using Raychem tefzel wire and DR25 heat shrink. Not the best job ever but it was a learning curve anyways. As long as it works for now I can always spend time later tidying bits up I'm not happy with.

  20. Bought my first in 2007. Joined the club not long after. It was a more door dusky mauve with 250k Miles [emoji15][emoji15][emoji15] I had a few others in between but don't have any pictures. Until I got onto my favourite one I have owned. The Dragon Green one! Sold it on a whim like a right stupid muppet! Then tried to replace it a couple of months later with a Mullberry Highline more door! This one just didn't come close. Had no time or love for this one unfortunately. So it got broke for parts as I had removed the engine and box to do some work and l
