  2. I was recommended off the bodyshop i use who taught him, so im guessing his work will be spot on! Pay cheap pay twice..but if it isnt a good job then he wont be getting paid anyways [emoji4] i only thought it was expensive because im providing the sills and he doesnt have to make his own

  4. All I'll say is there old cars now and need work, had my VR near 3 years now and spent a ton of cash on it (my choice n wife not to thrilled) My sills still need doing and I'm going to get round to having them done at the end of this season. All I can say is if you're a bit unsure on his work/price? Just get him to do 1 side (the worst affected) just tell him monies tight at the mo, and if his work passes muster you'll get him to do the other side, that way he's got to get it spot on or you won't go back. Not only that, if its not perfect? Don't pay until it is...

  7. Just got back from the bodyshop. Been quoted £300 a side to repair the sills. The work will consist of cutting out most of the sill up to the plastic kick plate and putting in the new sills that ive got from oeandmore. He went in depth and told me what he was going to do, sounded like a top job that probably was a little OTT but i like that kind..hes going to paint it afterwards, treat the fresh sill, pull up the carpets and get at it from inside aswel and treat it and repair if needed. He guaranteed that it will not even look like its been repaired..he explained that he couldnt just put the s

  13. So bit of an update! It's still running nicely and now has a fresh MOT ticket. Only advisories were rear axel bushes and some play in rear bearings, but as the bearings were new they just needed tweaking up now I've got some miles on them. Axel bushes I will do next month and replace with power flex ones. So she's had s good wash and Hoover ready for a drive to Cornwall soon! Got the roof box on - total nightmare with the roof rails for the Corrado! Lol Got to do some club repping [emoji23][emoji23] So fingers crossed it doesn't let me down as nearly 300 mile drive each way!

  14. Thanks VR6CABBS I needed to mount it in a good location so gravity would push the fuel down to the belt pump to avoid cavitation.

  16. Bought my first in 2007. Joined the club not long after. It was a more door dusky mauve with 250k Miles [emoji15][emoji15][emoji15] I had a few others in between but don't have any pictures. Until I got onto my favourite one I have owned. The Dragon Green one! Sold it on a whim like a right stupid muppet! Then tried to replace it a couple of months later with a Mullberry Highline more door! This one just didn't come close. Had no time or love for this one unfortunately. So it got broke for parts as I had removed the engine and box to do some work and l
