  1. So, Now that i'm back into VR6 power I thought i start a little build/project running report. Story so far goes like this: Not long sold my 91 8V 5 door Golf MK2 GTI. Was also in a bit of a non running state when purchased. Been stood since 2005. Managed to get it running nicely. Original paint was mint, one small area needed attention, MOT'd lowered, wheels, etc.... Turned out to be a nice clean low mileage car (77,000). Sold that on a few months ago for a nice profit, needed something else to tinker with. originally looking at another MK2, but nothing really caught my eye. Browsing the

    Hello all

Hi, I thought I had registered on here ages ago but it seems not. Anyway, I am a self confessed Corrado loony, I currently have 4......all VR6's obviously 8) The red one is soon to be my daily Under the tarpaulin is my Storm project, it's been getting some serious work done on the dreaded rust Plus there is another in bits in the garage and another breaker/parts car. My other reason for joining is that I have sourced some bonnet release cables that, after a wee bit of resizing fit the Corrado perfectly. I've been selling them on the Corr

  5. Done a little more today. Seems I've a little more work ahead than anticipated.... Needs both sills patching. Needs a pair of wings. Rear arches need work. Rear wings under light clusters need work. All brake pipes are about shot. Car is somewhat rusty underneath. Needs a clutch. Need some wheels. Gonna need a full paint job.... Meh...... At least the interior looks good lol....

  6. One hour and twenty mins and I was home. Mission though to get my car from the stand back to the camp. Had to leave via the 10 mile exit to travel back to the entrance. Lol.

  8. Sooo. Has been a few weeks since having it up and running. Seems to be running well. Put it on the rolling road at stealth on the last rolling road day just make sure everything is looking good in preparation for my mapping session on Monday. Everything looked well and was pushing 9psi boost, should be 10 - 12 PSI though. Noticed not long after the case was leaking boost where the scroll meets the gearbox housing on the charger. Ordered some jointing compound which has sealed it up nicely as well as replacing the 6PK belt for a much better quality 7PK belt should see me hit the numbers !
