  1. Damn I know the feeling of the gurgle on the turn of the key. Ever since I fitted Samco's on mine. Sounds like the waves hitting the rocks in a fookin sea storm. [emoji23][emoji23] Any way looks like a nice one pal. [emoji106]

  4. Thanks Pete, I've loads of plans but this year will mainly be getting the black interior in, getting the coilovers fitted, finding some S3 Avus wheels, changing the header tank & a couple of hoses to try get shut if the annoying gurgle I can sometimes hear, then using her till November. I'm taking her off the road then for MOT prep & welding (will see how much [emoji24]) Eventually she will get resprayed & a big arse turbo will take up residence under the bonnet [emoji16]

  5. Haven't updated this for ages, I never seem to get 5 spare minutes,[emoji848] one of the many joys of parenthood as I'm discovering![emoji23][emoji85] after a bit of use a few weeks back I realised that there seemed to be antifreeze stains appearing under the bonnet, then realised a couple of days before VW festival that it was the water pump[emoji849], luckily I had a new one about from the other engine I'm building for the car , so got it on there after having much fun with rounded/seized bolts on the water pump pulley![emoji35] The car then ran without a hiccup or sign of a leak all the wa

  7. Just want to share this music Video. The VR6 is a highly respected car in South Africa especially in the townships! The Nickname for a VR6 in South Africa is "Vura" As a VR6 owner in SA you will get respect no matter where you are on South Africa roads..

As Dave said, sort of - "drivetrain" denotes the driving parts in English - your clutch and gearbox so to speak but I assume you mean engine. Nothing is really needed for the head except possibly cams for better VVT control/spool with timing. Over 1100hp has been had with a stock head so unnecessary really! This one to be exact so save money there in my opinion! This car here made over 1000ps at 6850rpm on the dyno so crazy rev limits are usually to do with gears/speed only - no more power is really had at high rev limits due to engine design - you may want to change to hea
