  2. No Mk4 12v aren't compatible with 12v Mk3. The Mk4 12v and 24v setups are identical when it comes to brackets.

  3. I believe illumination and operation are separate: the switches illuminate with the headlights. With the factory fit system, you could put the key in the door lock and hold it in the locked (or unlocked) position and the windows would raise (or lower). If your car has the wiring on the door lock, you could try opening/closing from the key - this bypasses the window switches. If all else fails, concentrate on one door: # is ground connected? - need continuity from battery to the thick brown wire on the window module in the door # is there power - I guess there sh

  4. Like cactusjackslade, I too am sorry to hear you will not be able to dedicate as much time to the club and will be taking a back seat, but that said though after 13/14 yrs of being involved in the club I can't blame you, as life takes over and more pressing priorities must come first. Sadly though this is now not the bit where I say " Have no fear I will step in and do my bit to help" As I'm pretty much computer illiterate and you lost me at the bit were you mentioned HTML, as I have no idea what that is. Sadly when I was at high school back in the mid 80's and thought I knew everything and

  5. I'm sorry to hear that you will soon need to be taking a back seat position Pete. However I can only imagen how it must demand so much time, You and other organisers do a great job with the club, website and events. I hope someone with the spare time and dedication required can be found. This is a great club dedicated to a great engine and Vw models it would be a terrible shame to see it slip.

  6. I have everything you need here bar the headunit (V9) 24v VF Engineering Brackets For V9 FS As title, I have everything you need here for a stage 1 (6 psi) kit minus Vortech V9 headunit and some plumbing that can easily be fabricated to suit your car. This kit is for a 2.8/3.2 24v engine, can also fit 12v Mk4. These brackets are extremely uncommon and rare to get your hands on by themselves. This is ideal for someone looking to piece their own kit together bit by bit, and is cheaper than buying a full kit from a tuning company. E9P and superchargerinovations do similar kits for around 12-150

  7. I have a 12v and have recently supercharged - V1 chargers are old, but they are solid and cheap ! I paid £700 for my kit - yes it was missing parts and needed a tune- cost me around 1.1 - 1.2k altogether to get it up and running and considering I am running 294BHP I see it as good value for money. V9's are readily available second hand and also a good unit - more likely to be a complete kit but you will be paying around 1.4k (GBP) for a good unit. Always check bearing / seals first as rebuild costs can get expensive if work is needed. Took abou
