  1. For sale are the seats and door cards from my VR6. Selling them as I have replaced them with leather. The car has done approx. 95k miles and the seats are in good condition. The driver's seat outer bolster is broken down slightly but the cloth is in tact and it's not too bad. The OSR door card has a split by the door handle as shown in the photos, this is hardly noticeable once fitted and door handle in place. As you can see on the front door cards there is one clip housing missing on each, I don't have a spare but if you could get hold of one it could be glued back in

  2. I just bought a 1998 mk3 vr6, which is in great condition and has only done 35k miles. But I was wondering why the engine has VR6-2.8 written on it, when so many others I have seen on the web, seem to have VR6-DOHC. Can someone kindly let me know the difference. Have I bought a dud? Many thanks Here is a pic..

    Golf mk3 vr6 highline

Hi. Welcome to the sale of my golf vr6 highline in black (black magic) the reason for sale is that we are in the middle of moving house and it came far quicker than we thought so i need to free up some cash and it was either the vr6 or the scooby that had to give way, and with me being a jap kind of guy the scooby had to stay Saying that the golf is a lovely car and i enjoy driving both for their own reasons. Anyway here is a list of what the golf has had done while ive had it. Last week it had 2 brand new wishbones/balljoints and track rod ends with uprated bushes. I had a full service

  5. Yes. VW produced a 4-Wheel-Drive version of the Golf Mk3 VR6 called the "Golf VR6 Syncro". It used a viscous coupling system similar (but not identical) to that in the Golf Mk2 Rallye. The system transmits all engine power to the front wheels normally, but if front wheel slip is detected, up to 40% of the engine's power is redirected to the rear wheels until traction is restored. Not only did the Syncro get 4WD, it also got the 2.9 litre, 190BHP VR6 engine from the Corrado. This helped to offset the additional power lost through the 4WD system. The straight-line performance of the VR6 Syn
