Almost ready for tomorrow! Hope you guys get some good videos of me of the strip. Be on the club stand for around 9am [emoji106]? safe drive!
-
Yeah looks much better. Do you have a filter to clip over it? Be carful running low fuel as you probably will run out before and possibly more likelihood of surging. Rule of thumb don't let tank run 1/4 empty.
-
You will need that pump to be at the bottom of the swirl pot otherwise you will be running the pump dry even with 1/4 tank of fuel
-
Close but no cigar - Its black Yes cool and dry is good for some strip action - hope the wind levels are low. so bring some extra layers
-
The gates open earlier, but usually I aim to arrive around 9am, would say to aim to arrive before 10am if possible but no hard and fast rule on when you arrive and leave. Yes bringing friends is cool - more the merrier

MK3 VR6 rear brake upgrade
VR6Pete replied to korsou's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
Most people tend to go with the mk4, but you don't get any braking performance, simply improvements to the hand-brake mechanism.... but you will require different flexi hoses fittings from memory as the connection is different. My recommendation for the rear would simply refurb / replace existing calipers and get some good quality rear brake discs... there is very little braking action from the rear anyway to be honest v's the fronts. Not sure - have you tried calling VW / TPS ?
-
If you want to come, I'll add you to the list and just turn up on the day and pay £15 entry and everyone is a winner. RWYB is £25 - you will need to bring driving license for that mind.

I have a boosted application - 294BHP and running standard OEM bearings. I dont see any advantage with going with schimmel in this instance.
-
Not long to go chaps! Still plenty of space left for anyone else who can make it
-
What type of application are you putting these into ? Usually Scimmel are highly regarded so wouldn't have any doubts over the quality, if you are not going with a high performance application then stick with OEM
-
There was a mk3 R32 converted car on here being broken, maybe down pipes are available.... take a look in the breaking section.

Power steering expansion hose
VR6Pete replied to Johnny's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
The business owner advises me is going away on holiday later this week, so if you order up ASAP then will get them made up and sent out before going away. They are also on Facebook, and that's where I have been messaging them https://www.facebook.com/powersteeringstore/ -
Power steering expansion hose
VR6Pete replied to Johnny's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
Hi @Johnny I've been doing a bit of research into this. http://www.powersteeringstore.co.uk/ Will be able to help you out... prices as follows; high pressure hose for £80, the return hose for £65 and the metal rack transfer pipes for £30. Postage is free. Note that the high pressure hoses are different. Seems reasonable prices and wouldn't need to take your old hoses, but of course these are not "stock" items and would be made up to order. Hope that helps! -
Wow that's pretty bad, but not surprising given the company involved. You would probably be best getting the wiring loom from another golf vr6, there are plenty being broken for spares currently so should be a case of replacing the damaged looms... big job though taking dash out and recommend doing the heater matrix.

Worth checking out: https://roosemotorsport.co.uk/ They do Corrado Silicon Hoses, and you can use CLUB10 discount code to get 10% discount before the end of December.
