Had Paradas on my mk2 VR, they were awful in the wet, maybe because it was a mk2 with 221bhp, but I wasn't impressed

The schimmel cams are pretty good to be honest mate, on the corrados they've provided some good figures and a good all rounder for the VR6

Can't see it causing an issue, unless its faulty, however if your existing FPR is a known working item it might be good to re-fit and using the process of elimination to narrow down the fault

Yeah one thing have noticed is more people bring their kids to our events, we are a family orientated club, so do bring the whole family along I wouldn't want it any other way, if they get bored, time to whip out the iPad. Mine are 4 and 6 so ideal ages for getting them hooked

Some interesting info there, although cant comment on validity. Here is the rods tech article: http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/cars/throttlebody.html You can also perform this by disconnecting battery for a while, turn on ignition, the TB will make some noises, once it stops then start the car.

Swap the lambda first mate see how you get on and perform throttle body adaptation, if you still have issues, you can probably borrow another obd2 MAF to rule that out and go from there. Have you scanned ECU for DTC's?

Hi mate, welcome to the club Just trying to think back to when I was swapping fans etc.. In my mk2 VR, but think it was the rad switch thinking about it and not to the fan motor. Never known VR fans without the oval connector though, you probably can chop in a new plug if you really wanted, but seems a lot of work when you can easily get hold of a mk3 being broken for parts that probably will fans available Personally I'd get the correct part for the job... But that's just me -
Probably wont help mate. Would make the MAF work harder I'd have thought trying to sort out the fuel / air etc... Have you verified your MAF is in working order? Does it run worse if you unplug it ?
